I know everyone has answeared this question a million times already. looking to get rid of the S1. I'll be doing a little two up riding. Need something a little more comfortable for her. and not sure what to even look for but its got to be a buell.

For two up riding, provided you both have human sized asses, is a Ulysses or a Lightning Long and I have no experience on the lightning long.

Even the Long is a bit snug, but if you're girl is petite and you are not a big dude (no offense), then you will be ok for decent rides, otherwise, you may want to look at the uly and or/ start shopping elsewhere. Unfortunately, these bikes were just not made for it. If you take rides that are no longer than 30 mins to 1 hour, then you will be fine though.

Check out the other bikes that are comparable to the Buells in the class...Speed Triple, Triumph Sprint, Z1000, FZ1 or 7. I know of many more that fit into a similar category, but won't make a huge list unless you are really needing ideas.

Im 6' 195lbs the wife is 5.5' 115lbs. well she likes to say shes 5.5 more like 5.2. well anyway she won't be riding alot and the trips will be fairly short. how comfortable is the seat on lighting long. then again riding a 2x4 is probably more comfy than the s1.

Took the GF on my Lightning Ss last week. I'm 5'10, 230lbs and she is about 5'4, 125lbs. She said it was very comfortable and enjoyed it, even asked to go for several rides after the first. We only went about an hour at a time so it isn't a valid endorsement if you plan to tour. Biggest issue is either changing suspension settings (just too hard to turn the fronts w/o dinging something or removing stuff) for the weight change when hiking her or living with way off settings (may not be nice if you like to carve the canyons hard).

The seats on the long are most likely the most comfortable seat on the market, including aftermarket seats.

My wife doesn't like the S3 at all, but she did like the Uly when we took it for a test drive. Someday I'll have to try and get one. When I ride around Colorado and see those gravel/dirt roads headed up into the mountains, they just scream "Ulysees"!
