Might have to move up near Logan, Champanville, or south Charleston area.

Just trying to get some local info on the area. Housing, gyms, places to ride etc etc

The list of places with good twisties is almost endless.

Housing should be cheap in Logan County, but it has the reputation for not being the most civilized place. Some coal miners and engineers I knew worked in Logan and Boone counties, but lived in Kanawha, Fayette or Nicholas county.

Charleston has a YMCA that is supposed to be nice, well-equipped, clean and not crowded. Houses in Kanawha county are expensive in the suburbs. But 20 minutes out of town you can be in the country, and prices should be more reasonable.

PM me with your address and I'll mail you a Sunday Charleston Gazette, you can check out housing (and it used to have a special real estate supplement...maybe it still does).

Charleston has a Quaker State bike night on Thursdays; they say it draws 300-400 bikes.

Good luck,
Bill

thanks for the offer.. I'll be driving up Sunday and checking out the area for two days, so I'll pick up some local papers.

I guess not too many people use the internet in that area. Not to much information online.

Thats twice I've been warned about the people in Logan. Have to remind myself I probably can;t road rage on them like I can the little illegals down in Georgia. lol

Logan Has a nice Holiday Inn near the Walmart FYI. Quite a bit of new construction going on there.Omar and Barnabus is pretty quiet for housing.
