I have 3700 miles on my 2006 XB12S, and the stator/regulator/battery recently failed (stator grounded). The bike is in the finishing stages of repair, but the Dealer (german) seems unsure as to whether this is going to be covered under warranty or not since I did not have my servicing done there. I did the 1k service myself, this dealer did the TPS reset, and I saved all of my receipts from Daves (genuine HD products). He said he wasn't sure if they were going to cover it or not, the mechanic (american) said it would be... but I was just wondering if it would be justifiable for them to deny my warranty claim... that being said, I intend to give CS a call after work and ask them. Just wondering opinions/experience on the matter. Dealer told me to call him back tomorrow after he has a chance to call Buell to ask. The bike will be finished tomorrow... and I don't feel like having to pay for something I feel should be covered. |

If your bike has been serviced according to the schedule the warranty should be honoured. If there's any debate the emphasis will be on you to prove that the bike has been correctly serviced but if you can do that, your dealer cannot deny your warranty claim. Let us know how you get on. |

Bike should be done tomorrow, according to the dealer. Just got off the phone with some kind gentleman from CS. He said there is no reason why it wouldn't be covered, the bike only has 3700 miles on it, and I purchased the extended warranty. He said if a problem arose to give him a call back. I'm excited... big Buell Meet this weekend! |
