"should I use dino or synthetic?" It's your choice, but don't use GL-5 rated oil in your blinkers. The sulphur compounds will erode the copper wires. Blinker failures are typically caused by using the wrong fluid. |

I read somewhere recently that syn fluid will also reduce UV emissions by 20% or more(not using running lights). |

I asked a scots engineer about my dilithium crystals, & after inspection he told me I'd given them too much & they'd blown! I was surprised I can tell you, & asked him how he could tell, his pointy eared friend said it was perfectly logical, as I'd overfilled the blinker fluid reservoir. I have to confess I was a bit sceptical but they seemed pretty certain of themselves, even if I had to keep telling them my name's not Jim. |

Maybe when you guys get that sorted out, you can help this guy too: Dear Abby, I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice on what could be a crucial decision. I've suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs... Phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work, you don't know them." I always stay awake to look out for her taxi coming home, but she always walks down the drive, although I can hear a car setting off, as if she has gotten out of the car round the corner. Why? Maybe she wasn't in a taxi? I once picked her cell phone up just to see what time it was and she went berserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her. Anyway, I have never broached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her. I decided I was going to park my Harley Davidson Heritage next to the garage and then hide behind it so I could get a good view of the whole street when she comes home. It was at that moment, crouching behind my Harley, that I noticed that the rocker boxes on my engine seem to be leaking a little oil. Is this something I can fix myself or should I take it back to the dealer? Thanks, Bob |

I'm not Abby, nor do I play her on television... BUT if I were you, I'd take it to the dealer and while he's in there you might want him to check out your blinker fluid too. It's been my experience that once one liquid starts to find its way outside of your engine eventually they ALL do. |

Dearest Bob, It appears all of the rocker boxes in your life are leaking fluid. This puts you in a tough dilemma. You can attempt to seal the leaks, but this only buys you so much time. The moment you are inattentive- trust me on this- the seal on that rocker box will pop wide open. Remember that there is only so much you can do with something that has high mileage and has been ridden hard. Perhaps you should consider upgrading to a fresh new model? Sincerely, Abby |
