Saw this little Harley "military" dual-sport on Ebay, looks like an interesting bike, but I know absolutely nothing about the model. Looks like a rugged bike, would fit right in on base and if I scratched it I could just buy a can of green spray paint. Anyone know anything about these bikes, ridden one or know their track record??? The price is decent so I might snatch it up.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-HARLEY-MT-500-MILITARY-MOTORCYCLE-NO-RESERVE _W0QQitemZ250024437344QQihZ015QQcategoryZ6707QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewIt em |

No, my internet came without Google... Yeah, I saw a lot of stuff about the Armstrongs on the internet and they're for the most part the same bike as the Harleyfied version. I'm wondering if Harley made any additional mods when they bought the rights to produce the bike...Also was wondering if anyone has actually ridden one and knows how they ride and/or how reliable they are... You may want to ask over on Adventure Riders in the thumper forum. I wouldn't include a link to the ebay auction as it might become difficult to win after doing so. http://www.advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=15 |
