A few of us are meeting at Marcus Dairy around 9:00 Sunday morning and leaving around 10:00. We plan on riding toward Northwestern Ct./ Northeastern NY. The more the better. |

There's a really good ride out of A-J BMW/ Moto Guzzi in Gill, MA (on Rt. 2). They always have a great route mapped out with a good meal at the end of the ride. It starts at noon and ends at 2:30. The entry fee is $10.00 per person, and it benefits a local Pre-School. It would be nice to see some Buells other than mine. You guys could ride up, see some new and interesting (twisty) roads, get a good meal and be home before dark. Just something to think about. |

brian, enjoy, the riding around that area is the best i've ever seen. if you like long sweepers where you can feel the bike compress the suspension you'll love it. |

Nice thought, but I'll be in Dutchess County on the Lost Wheels MC Poker Run. Over 100 miles of beautiful, upstate NY roads with a BBQ and live music at the end. For info, see: http://www.lostwheels.com/ |

Finally got to ride N.E.Ct and part of Mass. It was pretty good, no close calls or tickets. The weather was perfect. We found a couple of good sweepers and 272. I thought I was going to pis blood when we pulled over. |

The Lost Wheels ride was awesome. It started out slowly, going through a lot of small towns with intersections and traffic lights, but soon opened up into some NICE back country roads with little traffic. We were able to work our way through roaming pachyderm packs of Harley Dressers and Goldwings and enjoy some peg dragging. Best moment for me was entering the end side at Fahnstock Park. Guy on one of those ridiculously stretched custom choppers was unable to make the sharp right hander into the parking lot. He probably should've started the turn from the LEFT lane... Lost Wheels reported 922 bikes registered for the event. I can believe it! Still, we were served our lunch quickly and efficiently. None of us won any door prizes, nor did we pull a winning poker hand. We left around 2:30 to get back to Long Island in time to catch the MotoGP at East Meadow Hooter's. Go Vale!! |
