hello all, just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I live out in denver and I just purchased a salvage 03 xb9r to rebuild. This is going to be my winter project, I hope to have it ready by spring. I'll keep you all posted on the progress. | ||

Welcome, congrats on the purchase! If you need some parts check the classifieds, or if you need some technical info check the knowledge vault, or if you need "special circumstance" info or advise or data....just ask! There are more than enough knowledgable people on this board, no problem should go unsolved on here. Good luck with the bike, how damaged is it? Pics? Edit - I'll save Brian some time - when you get the bike up and in road condition... make sure you wear ALL OF THE GEAR ALL THE TIME. well, the bike looked pretty bad when I brought it home. The frame and subframe are both a total loss, the rear shock mount is broken off on one side as well as the subframe mounts. The wheels are both bent, the rear is toast, but the front may be able to be straightened. I have it pretty well stripped down now, and surprisingly most parts are still ok. I should have a frame within the next couple of weeks, so we'll see how the rebuild goes. here are a couple of pictures.   | ||

these xb's seem to stand up to one hell of a pounding (trust me on that) so you might end up ok on alot more than you think. | ||
