Got tangled up earlier in the day with some local product and slept right through the whole ceremony Hey Capt, the local produce must be cheap or plentiful if you can afford to go to sleep on the job! Rocket |

Folks who are bothered by the Captain's opening post, let me assure you beyond even the most faded stain of doubt that the man was speaking purely tongue in cheek. Good grief! LOL! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |

I don’t know whether my PM reached you before or after your second post, Luke, (Bdabuell), but it works either way. Nobody’s doing anything to anyone on this thread except making a little effort to maybe make some one’s bad day in the future just a little better. As I said in my PM to you, I tried to make the opening post so rude and obnoxious that no one would possibly imagine it to be anything other than just what Blake said it was: tongue in cheek. Sorry you took it the wrong way. I’ll quote Tramp: “Take a deep breath.” It’s all good. And while I’m thinking tongue in cheek, I can’t help but wonder if I really guilt-tripped Kano into apologizing to us for having to ask his brother’s permission to bring girls home from the bar? Maybe I took that the wrong way, but I thought it to be pretty humorous. You gotta be careful on this board. There’s some pretty high-flying wit zooming around on occasions. You’ll likely miss some of it if you’re not paying attention. Two things for you, Sean: First, your high-falutin’ excuse. You know perfectly well it was un-necessary, as all individuals living in automobiles, no matter how exotic, are exempt. The second is: You have no idea, brother! But Slaughter’s right. Some people go there because the diving is also the best in the Pacific. But most importantly, thanks to all of you who have offered to help a fellow BadWeBber through our RAN. (Gooey hunk of festering dog meat… I thought that was pretty good. No wonder I’m gettin’ all these stars. Up to 20 so far, and they’re still coming in.) |

It's the bait, Kristi, it's the bait. But I won't mention it again cuz it's just so, well, obnoxious sounding. |

I have a great scence of humor. and i know the first post wasn't serious. I was just explaining that I think the RAN is a great idea and I'd love to take part if I was capable. No guilt here. |

Kano, you probably can take part if you wish. Do you own; a cell phone, a flashlight & a few tools? That may be all that's needed one wet night to help someone out of a jam. |

Perhaps along with updting the RAN listing, we could start a list of those who could use a humor transplant? Pete, RT and me will show up on yer doorstep, infuse the environs with local product, regal you with tales of daring do (snd don't) -- at that point, you have good experience in rude and obnoxious, and will be better prepared to reconize it when it comes round again (as it most certainly will) this posting is intended to be humoous, btw, no sting rays were injured in the making of this posting |

CaptPete, Got your PM - thanks for sending - I appreciate it. I think of myself as having a good sense of humour too...I do not, however, (as you've seen now ) usually respond well to the heavy-handed approach to things. If the original intent was purely to call attention to the RAN, then perhaps I did take it the wrong way. I know there's an awful lot of wit flying around this board and I like that. There has also been a lot of negativity and hostility flying around here too lately which I don't like. Perhaps some of that is what lead me to react to your post in the way I did...unfortunately, I then contributed to that negativity...sorry about that. Anyhoo....it's all water under the bridge...hatchets can be buried...we can all kiss and make up etc etc ~enter your own corny saying here~ ....no transplants necessary thanks...I like everything right where it is... |

I'm biased for sure, but being as objective as possible, overall, I find BadWeB to be one of the most positive discussion boards on the internet. I also think some folks are very sensitive to disagreement. I mean I just checked in for the first time in the last 24 hours and I'm looking at a listing of almost 200 threads and over 800 new posts, the vast majority of which are indeed positive in nature, in fact I don't see a negative one. Am I missing something or just getting too thick skinned? "Perhaps"? |

Bangkok! Doode, I'm, like, so there! I know this bar . . . . . . . . break break -- Spidey, my friend -- I suggest you go down into the basement, crawl under a cardboard box, and stay there for a few days ... either that, or spend your entire paycheck on lottery tickets! |
