Fireman Jim and I are leaving for the Bub's Motorcycle Event at Bonneville tomorrow morning and just got my 650 cc Blast on the dyno yesterday. It is making 66 RWHP and 50 lbs of torque, I need to re-gear the primary this morning as I was using a 29/56 and that was way too low. I will try a 34/56 today and see if I can pull 125-130 at 7K with a 30 -40% load. If I can I will have enough sprocket combinations to hit the rev limiter in fifth. ... She'd get a kick out of that too. I think we're losing her to the darkside (she's looking at a R6.) She chewed up the set of tires on the M2 the day I was out with JimR and Bryan -- I know she was racing on Blacksnake road with the squids. G2 | ||

I've ridden an R6. Not a good street bike at all IMHO. The 66HP Blast would eat it alive on some of my favorite roads, I'm sure. If she does feel the need to go away from Buell, maybe she should stick to a V-Twin? | ||

66HP Blast would eat a whole bunch of stuff alive in these parts  She's just shopping right now, but the R6 has caught her attention. I don't know how she is financially either,,,,so if she needs to hit me up for some additional funding I'll have more influence on the purchasing process G2 | ||

Thanks and I will post some pictures tonight, but for right now its LSR only and takes a slow steady throttle to get it up on top. Would need Shorter cams and a 42-mm, carb down from a 45 to run on a RR track. I am off to the dyno room see you all tonight. ... Terry | ||

 Terry.....there is something very very wrong with you...... A dealership near here has a Blast they use for a "pit bike". They have bored and stroked it out to 1000cc's. I don't know how much it makes but I was amazed that they were able to do it. Must be nice to have a fully equipped machine shop..... | ||

Geez - it must have a red line at 6000rpms, shake like a paint shaker, the max bore is like 4.175 which is 685cc - so jeez - a 5" stroke - lol - which dealership is that? GT - JBOTDS! EZ | ||

You know I was surfing earlier and found something that would be interesting to do with the blast. P3SM!! Supermoto Blast! Instead of trying to follow the Uly with the blast, how about a Supermoto version? The DR400SM would be a direct competitor. | ||
