Had a call that took me off guard 2 weeks ago on a Thursday afternoon. About 1pm in my cell phone rang.... it was a restricted number...I answered it and said hello. The voice on the other line said hello,Dana and I said yes. He said HEY!!! its Erik Buell I said with a dumbfounded look on my face ...WHAT!!! he said really its Erik. Couldn't believe he got my cell number that another story. Anyways he said since Homecoming my bike really stood out in his mind and he loved the paint work. His design people just couldn't nail down exactly the look they were after for the Queensryche bikes. He asked me if the guy that painted my bike would be interested in the job and could he contact him. I said he'll be more then happy to do it and gave him the number. We talked for a bit then we hung up. I call my friend Will Christman and told him of the call and what was up. Erik called within minutes after I spoke to Will. Erik's Design people brought the Body work down to will shop the next day late afternoon. They kinda gave Will free reign other then a couple thing that needed to be included. The deadline....48 hours for 2 custom paint jobs. Will worked from Friday to Monday with only leaving his shop once for 4 hours sleep, other then that it was mission and alot of trial and error to do translucent body work. Monday I worked with him from 10am till 2pm sanding and buffing the parts after the clear dried. A 2pm we left in my truck for East Troy to drop these off to Erik and his design people. Erik and company just loved the work and Queensryche does also. Kinda cool that my bike has made some type of impact on Erik that he'd call me to get my friend for the work. Queensryche will be in Milwaukee in September and I plan with Will to be there at the concert....can't wait. |

Very cool! I'm going to guess the first few pics are in Eric's office, with the original RW750. Historic shot there, I've never seen a pic of it after the ones that Gess had posted! |

I just wanna know how I can get the translucid front fenders, yes, both colors, to go with my Flavors Of The Day. I just picked up my orange set from the paint shop today.
I'll do another thread with all the pic's. |

That is so cool--very nice paint and super story. And "Big Brother" is watching you. I had an incident like that, also. I got a call one day at the firehouse from Tom Anglin and still have no idea how he got that number. He just kinda laughed when I asked how the heck he had found me. |

If Erik Buell asks for a phone number, I have trouble picturing the person in my mind who would deny him the info, especially if he said why he wanted it! Again, frickin' SUHWEEEEET!!! |

Way Cool! Queensryche is special to me. Most graceful dance I have ever seen was done to Silent Lucidity. |
