Chapter I - The move I know I haven't been around much at all lately, but life has been busy. It all started last December when I accepted a new job in Appleton WI. (no the rumors that I just wanted to live closer to Appleton HD are not true... entirely) I bought a new house in Febuary and have been working on it ALOT. Tree trimming, bathroom remodel, 4 rooms of carpetting... yoiu get the idea. Then getting ready for the motorcycle season finally started in May. I had already attended a few meetings with the Appleton Buell chapter and went on the May ride. Chapter II - Blackhawk Farms For those of you who don't know, Irode my Buell at Blackhawk farms and the track won. In the 4th session of the day I went down hard at 80+ mph causing "Pimp Daddy Bling Bling" to flip a few times and get a bit messed up. Not to mention I got a first hand view of my shin bone. I was pretty sore for about a month and still have quite the scars on my left leg. My ankle also swelled up pretty good and was in np shape to even shift. Due to an infection that also set in, I didn't really heal until the end of July. I had no insperation to work on my bike due to the innability to ride it anyway. Late in July I did however start to get the riding bug back and started working on piecing it back together. Again thanks to all who got me parts! Chapter III - Summer is not over yet! I can happily say I am back riding again and enjoying it like I did before. The bike is not 100%, but that can happen this winter. It is good enough to ride though so I just want to enjoy it (yes all the LED lights are working). I am planning on riding with the Appleton Buell group next week finally again. I am also looking at riding up to Tomahawk for their yearly rally. The rally is nothing special, but I like the backroads and it is always a great time riding with my father. Chapter IV - The bonus!!! Two weeks after my accident my wife and I found out we were expecting! So the home project schedule has been ramped up a bit. We are extremely excited about this. And no, there is no talk about selling the bike for a minivan! |

And no, there is no talk about selling the bike for a minivan! We have 1 minivan, 1 Suburban and 2 Buells......who says you have to give up toys to have a family? You just sometimes have to get a little more creative with the balancing act. Congrats on all the new things in your life. The fun is yet to come! |
