Way cool! I cannot imagine getting that project finished in two days from conception to final finishing. AMAZING! Very nice work too. The paint on the translucid bodywork is sure to become a popular customization option. Thanks for sharing the photos and story Dana. I love stories like this! Tech question: How do you get the paint to stick while maintaining the glossy finish on the unpainted parts? (Message edited by Blake on August 31, 2006) |

Blake that Friday night when Buell dropped the parts off, Will said this could be a nightmare or work in his favor. Its hard to explain Wills method but the paint and clears are applied in layers. For example after some graphic are painted on then it would be sanded then cleared. Then he go on to the next paint step then sand then clear. Its a process. I've spent some time with Will in his shop...helping where I can, learned alot. Funny Will and I worked with one another back in 1988 at Benjamin Air Rifle. Great guy and a perfectionist. Thanks everybody, its one of the many Buell stories that you'll never forget. |

I am listening to Queensryche as I type. One of my techs asked me to look up the concerts due at Ruth Eckard Hall this week and viola, Queensryche is playing tonight. I have seen absolutely no promotion of the event. |

Court, do you have any details on the Buell guitar? (type of woods, bolt-on or set neck, type of pickups, etc.) Did Erik build the whole thing? Any info would be appreciated. |

Stou when speaking to Erik he told me he was waiting on helmets and right away I asked would it be Stou?? He said yes. Awesome work I'd have to say. I wish Will had more then 48 hours but hey they look good. He had many more idea's but time was restraint. |

***Insert Shameless Promotion Here*** The Queensryche bikes will be appearing at Liberty's Open House on Sept. 23 ~ AND at least two of them are leading a Save the Music ride down to their show in Atlantic City that night. Last I heard from their promoter there were still tickets available for the show, and if you donate to Save the Music, you can join the ride on down to AC - even if you don't have tickets, hey, it's still Atlantic City. I'm sure you could amuse yourselves somehow while you're down there. For more info, please visit our website at www.libertyharley.com ***End Shameless Promotion** I can't wait to see the bikes in person too! |

Thanks guys! Dana, you was lucky to meet Erik. I did some jobs for him but never had the chance to even talk to him... anyway my english speaking is not very good!!! Wow! 48 hours to do a custom paint job is so short , I can't do that! When I do custom paint, I need time to think and to create the artwork and time to do it the right way, I can't rush too much on a paint job. |

Stou,Will had a hour with the Buell design people to get a grasp on what they were after then he put on the cape and mask and gave her hell. Should of seen him Monday.... looked like a Zombie.lol I don't think Will is completely happy with what was the end result but like in his own words I never got get out of first gear. But they got my best for 48 hours. |

Stou, Will and Dana, thanks guys for the awesome work. It is going to get seen by a lot of people, that's for sure. Toona, Your paint job looks really cool also. It is going to be really cool to see how more folks start using translucids for custom Buell paint now that it has started! Hey, everyone who is into music, get on out to one of the Queensryche concerts; these guys are incredible live. And Stone is a for real Bueller, his regular ride is a hot rod S2. Also, give anything you can to the VH1 Save The Music promotion that these Queensryche bikes are all about. Read about it on the Queensryche site or the VH1 site. No kidding, it is a great project, because in the low income neighborhoods, music in the schools is being taken out by the budgeteers. MUsic has saved many a soul, and we need more of that right now, not less. |

not trying to hijack here-but isn't it always f'd up how the bean counters try to take away the things that keep kids coming back when the going gets tough...I could tell some funny stories about raising money just to keep music, plays, and sports around. Damn nice paintwork, apparently creative minds are at work on all fronts... |

By the way . . . if you have old or unused instruments, they are very welcome as well. |

Now that you mention it, I'll have to look into how/where I can turn in an old instrument or 2. |
