Found this site in the back of Hot Bike magazine. Kinda like a Buell on steroids?
Website... http://www.bigtwinracers.com/ |

I like it. I esp. like how visible the motor is. |

Looks kind of like a Spondon frame. Wonder how much it weighs. |

More like a Buell on Flintstone vitamins.... ok, I'm joking, but how can you say it's on steroids without some numbers? I didn't click on every link, but I didn't see any real info on their website either.... |

No so sure about having passenger pegs mounted to the swingarm. No real information at all on their website. |

Scott_in_nh - Sorry... I just said that due to the larger motor. Couldn't think of anything better at the time. Rough morning... kids went back to school today and I'm dead tired! I wish they had more info on the site as well. Personally I think it would look better without the pillion and passenger pegs. My opinion of course. |

No reason to apologize, I wasn't trying to sound harsh (typical internet communication problem)! I'm ok with passenger accommodations, but the styling of the tail section doesn't match the tank.... Sometimes, people post stuff about the company they work for- that is they try to pass off a shameless plug as a "hey isn't this cool" post! Thought his might be the case (glad it isn't). My kids went back today as well, but they were at their mothers' so I didn't have to deal with it. |

Glitch, if you look closer at the pegs you'll see they're attached to the frame not the swingarm. Personally I think an solo seat XBR tail would look nice. Can't imagine your passenger enjoying having their ass roasted by the exhaust. |

NICE. But I think the little twin is motor aplenty. I wonder which has more power per pound, the big twin, or the sportster motor? That transmision/primary looks like just too much weight without added value. The old/former custom shop Mars Custom Cycle in SF sold a frame kit along these same lines about a decade ago. Well they offered one, don't know if they actually sold any. Agreed, this one beats the snot out of most "special constructions" with a big twin. |

Scott_in_nh - No problem what so ever. I wish I could send my kids to thier Mom's. Unfortunately she's no longer with us. Been a single Dad for almost eleven years now. Lord knows I could use a break. laughs I hope one day they post more info on the bike as I am very curious how it compares to a Buell. |

the diff in the power from a big twin to a sporty motor is mainly in the power loss... you loose alot more in the primary/trans on a big twin than you do on a sportster.... as paul harvey would say........ now you know the rest of the story. |

Thanks for the info Phat_j. Never owned nor riden a big twin personally. I do have a friend however that outrides me on my Buell with his. He's completely crazy though. |
