How could this have happend both times Buell sponsors a track day? I do hope they come back next year. If anyone that went would like another day, contact Leon and he will discount a day at either Blackhawk or Gingerman. Come to the races on the 10th Greg. |

Hey you guys left....we (lastcyclone, fieryxb, myself) did unlimited laps the for 45 minutes. I lapped em twice and on worn Pirelli's. Felt a full two wheel slide severals times, just gave the XB more throttle and hung on! Great to see everyone, and THANKS to Lean for setting up these events. As for the weather, just can't control it, so more time to Buell**** with everyone. Don't forget Sept 9-10th ASRA/CCS race weekend at Autobahn, and the Buells will be well represented. |

ya ya, but you already had your bikes unloaded and ready to go...so you could get 45 min. i just wasnt ready to commit and by the time i was seriously considering it....it was 4:15 and the track was going to close at 5pm - and i still had to unload off trailer and suit up. oh well, next time, i'm headed to blackhawk on 9/13 wednesday - anyone else? My God, where the hell do you people find all this time to do track days!! Don't forget, there will be one lone Ducati mixed in with the Buell Pits. But I got a Uly so they let me slide! Mike, what time are you planning on getting there? Save me a spot for my dinky set-uo. Sleeping in the trailer. No tents that weekend. Dora, are you planning on racing that weekend? |

nope. not racing. was really hoping to get some good tracktime in this past weekend, but life interfered and i didnt get down there sat, and too late on sun, then got rained out on mon. and...the fact that the autobahn weekend is a national race spooks me a bit. i havent been on a track since the june racing crash, and being there with all the traveling fast guys makes me nervous lookin forward to some tracktime without the additional aggression and competitiveness of a race atmosphere before i race again... D p.s. you got my msg last night, rocco? i wont need a trailer spot for autobahn. (Message edited by BuellGirlie on August 29, 2006) |

Naah, just being smart and cautious. If I where in your shoes.....my feet would be killing me!! I'd probably do the same thing. No. I would do the same thing. The offer always stands about hauling your bike when you get the urge to race again. You do plan on coming out to Blackhawk to help out in the pits at least I hope!? Wouldn't be the same with out you! |

I sent Leon an email yesterday morning. He hasn't replied yet. If he does discount, I'll be at Blackhawk on 9/13. It's my next full day off from work. |

Why did no one ride in the rain??? Rain practice is great practice. My experience with Leon is he is a great guy but REAL slow on email responsed. |

did most of a day at Road America in the rain, but several corners at Autobahn were waaay to slick for me. I still would have rode if it not for the other idiots. Intermediate made 3? laps and had a guy go down on each lap. I tucked in behind Bomber and rode the session out. |

Why did no one ride in the rain??? It wasn't just "rain". It was complete downpour. After about 3+ hours of rain, there was about a foot of standing water on the track (no kidding!!!!) |

Josh -- tuckin in behind me likely kept you drier ;-} I'm a good windbreak, as well -- Leon puts on a very good program, his crew is aces (on the two occasions I've done track daze with em), but they seem to have very little pull, meteorilogically speaking (grin) there was water coming UP outa the drains around the track -- I was lookin fr Charlton Heston to show up with two stone tablets -- very biblical, it was |
