do you have to wait forever for it to load? seems to me a social networking site like that would bank its repuation on bandwidth. apparently not. |

Myspace soaks up A LOT of bandwidth! When my daughter is on her computer and on myspace forget about using my computer for surfing the net. I can surf the net.....but very slowly, even on cable broadband. |

do you have to wait forever for it to load? It is slow, but I don't log in very often, no time !! My kid is 25 in the Air Force and he isn't on there often either (you can see the last log in date in their profiles). It just appears it's a way for him to keep in touch with friends, he's far from home and I figure he's got lots of buddies scattered all over. Cool thing is I'm on his "Friend" list, he didn't reject me !! |

At certain ages, my son's past that now, kids can be embarressed by the parents !! I'm just glad I made it to the point I'm no longer shunned by my kid, like around 12 when dropping off and hugs were not allowed anymore, and 16 to 18 when it wasn't cool to be seen with your MOM !! Thanks glitch !! |

Every now and again I drop my 15 y.o. son off at school. If I see his friends near by, I wait for him to get out of the truck, then I'll jump out and yell "WHAT, NO HUGS, NO KISS GOOD BYE?!!!" His friends think I'm a nut, my son knows so. |

I couldn't WAIT to get out of my parent's house, did so before I was 16. Of course, Maggie was busy giving birth to my oldest boy at the time, and not to be outdone by my friends, I went ahead and made another one less than 2 years later I doubt if my oldest will leave us before age 30. He started college 2 weeks ago, he'll probably remain a student for at least 10 years. The youngest, still 17, has already completed some courses at UCSD and has 2 jobs and started his own business. How he has time for his girlfriend, I'll never know. All the neighborhood kids know my house is the safest one to run to, day or night. We feed them and make sure not to flaunt our good fortune to the friends who are not blessed with such bounty. Everyone is welcome here, even the kids we don't particularly like. They're kids. We have to give them the chance to experience a few things and figure out right from wrong themselves, while giving gentle guidance. I encourage them to do what they want, beholding to nobody but me and their mother. They go at their own pace and that's fine by me. I made some poor choices being in a big hurry. |

Glitch - That is hilarious. I'll have to remember that for when I have to take my kids somewhere. Thier pretty good about that kinda stuff though as I'm all they have had for the last ten years. Not to get off the topic of Myspace. I just recently set myself up an account there as well. Most of the people that have been there for a while have way too many animations on they're pages which in turn causes them to be slow as all get out. I plan to keep mine fairly plain. Link to mine if anyone is interested. http://www.myspace.com/eazysspace Glitch I tried to access yours through your profile here and it said "Invalid Friend ID. This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has been deleted." ? |

I don't go to myspace -- I KNOW my duaghter (21 years old) has a page there, and I'm just not brave enough to risk stumbling on it I am amazed at how much folks post up there -- I mean, I don't want to know that kinda stuff about MYSELF, much less someone else! Glitch -- the no hug/no kiss game IS fun, innit? P - one of the bigger losses we suffered at Festung Bomber when my daughter went to school was the decrease in the vagrant population -- while I enjoy not feeding a small tribe regularly (I'd fogotten how much a trio of 17-year-old boys could eat, and how fast -- locusts come to mind), it's awful quite sometimes -- my wife and I are complimented when one of those ikds drops by to say hey, or show of a new (to them) car or bike -- good fun -- you are blessed with a bounty |

I'm just not brave enough to risk stumbling on it It does take some guts !! Glitch, your mean !! It's a little different though with boys and moms, my boys had such little ego's then !! Dad could embarress them and they wouldn't be totally shamed, guys and all you know, but mom's can REALLY mortify them, scar them for life I tell ya !! |
