In October, they will be releasing a DVD of the "Speed On Two Wheels" program that was The Speed Channel. This was a great program and the DVD will have another 15 minutes of footage that was not in the original program. I swapped a couple of emails with Dylan Weiss, one of the guys that made the film, and here is what he says about the DVD: "If you enjoyed the broadcast version of the show I think you’ll really enjoy the extended version. Due to broadcast time constraints we had to lose a lot of great stuff including two Nick Ienatsch dirt bike sequences (gyroscopic effect & contact patch) and an entire interview with Aaron Yates. As a motorcyclist myself, I think both parts are very cool. There’s also a tremendous amount of additional interview footage with Mladin and the two Haydens that really speaks to several of the topics in the show (front brake, youth, experience, racing, etc.)." I liked the part in that where they show the dyno plot for Tommy Hayden's Supersport bike after having the engine worked over. yeah it's just a stock bike, with and extra 20 SAE RWHP on an inertial dyno. |
