I have a leather ICON jacket that the sleeves are a little long for me. Do I need to get this done at a certain company or something? Not sure if a reg. tailor can do this. Any suggestions? Maybe the reg. tailor can do this? I don't want it to come apart if I ever dump the bike. |

Send it to Syed leathers in Orlando, FL. I got a Buell Zone leather jacket for Father's Day last year. Nice jacket, but no armor. I sent it to Syed and they added back, shoulder, and elbow armor, tightened the fit on the sleeves and added sleeve zippers. Oh, they also added a large Buell patch (provided by me) to the back and covered it with clear plastic to keep it clean. I was very happy with their work and would definitely recommend them. Somebody else posted here a year or so ago about the great work they had done on a set of leathers for them. Website is: http://www.syedleathers.com/ You can call or e-mail for an estimate before you send your jacket to them. |

this is who i used for tailoring my vanson sportrider pants, and adding a zipper to connect to my vanson cobra jacket. then when i got my teknic race leathers, they also did my patches. after crash 1, they did repairs. and i'm about to go pick up the repairs from crash 2. HIGHLY recommended. affordable, reliable, professional, owned by an ex-racer and highly supportive of the racing crowd. http://www.spyderleatherworks.com/ D |

Barnacle Bill's will also do tailoring on leather. They do a lot of racer's leathers. |

Is it just me, or do the Vanson, Syed, Barnacle Bill, and some other's suits look kind of amaturish and 80's styled? Maybe it's because the customers have no taste, but they often look cluttered with crap. For me, if I am going to spend my money on a custom suit, I want it to look like a pro suit. P.S. The Alpinestars Vector suit that I have now is ugly as hell, but it had the features that I was looking for at a price I could afford. Plus I already crashed in it, so it's just going to get uglyer. |
