I am going to do another ride on Mohawk Trail on Thursday the 24th. I am planning on bringing some of my photo equipment and pretty much make a day of it. Does anyone want to join me? I will be leaving Blackstone, MA around 10am. I know this is short notice, but the weather is going to be nice, and I am out of work, so I have nothing better to do.

Unfortunately, I'm not out of work; So I'll be unable to join you.
Since you have all day, may I suggest a route you might enjoy? Take Rt.2 right into New York. In Petersburg, take Rt.22 south into New Lebanon where Rt.22 joins with U.S. Rt.20. About 1/4 mile west of where the two routes join is a small strip mall on the right called Tilden Place. In the middle is a restaurant called the Hitching Post Cafe. They have GREAT burgers.
After you eat, take Rt.20 East into Pittsfield, Mass. There you'll pick up Rt.9 which will take you back to Worcester.
Try it. then come back here and tell us what you think.

This trip was not as good as the first one. I got stuck in traffic the whole way through the trail, and they were doing road work right at the hairpin. Today I noticed that my helmet may be a little too big for me, it kept getting blown up. It really felt like I grabbed someone else's helmet my accident, but that isn't possible. My Sidi boots are starting to peel the sole, I have to find a place to get them fixed. I had to cut the trip short, and I didn't hit rt9. Instead I took 20 to I90.

More on this later.

I rode 2up today, and that made it hard to lean in tight on the turns. My girlfriend wasn't able to adjust my backpack small enough to fit her, so that was shifting around. She had to go to work tonight, so that's why we cut the trip short.

Crusty, I forgot where that cafe was, so we got pizza next to the Cumbys on 22.

On a good note, my bike hasn't ever run better. I have been working on it for months, and I finally got it straightened out.

Edit: A state policeman was right behind me with his lights on when I was doing 90 something on the Mass Pike. When I noticed him I thought I was screwed, so I went to pull over. The statey just kept going. Man I got lucky.

My rear tire was getting a little hot. I had correct pressure, but it is starting to smear a bit.
