Excerpt from AP story:

YORK, Pa. - President Bush hopped on a Harley-Davidson at a motorcycle factory Wednesday as he made an election-year pitch for Republican stewardship of the economy.

The president also was in Pennsylvania to raise cash for a GOP hopeful in the state's gubernatorial campaign.

Cheers and applause erupted inside the Harley-Davidson Inc. vehicle operations plant here when Bush straddled a high-end model painted blue and white and revved its engine again and again. Climbing down, he ripped off blue-tinted safety glasses that he insisted made him look like rock star Bono and jokingly struck a pose intended to show a hip side.

"I'm just looking so far," Bush said during a tour of the plant where 3,200 employees work around the clock on shiny motorcycles that move slowly around the assembly floor on tracks. "I'll let Josh Bolten ride these things," Bush said of his chief of staff, known as a motorcycle enthusiast....

I can't believe it. A "good" news story about our President.

I'm with Dtx. Although, the shades do make him look a little "Bono-esque." Too bad the reporter didn't know that that's a Softail Deluxe and just said, blue and white high end model. Now, he just needs to be sitting on a Buell XBRR to impress the Buell community, or better yet, take one out for a demo ride.

He actually said, as he removed teh safety glasses, that he felt like he looked too much like Bono

Looks like about 97% of all the other dorks you see on Harley-Davidson motorcycles too. Kinda glad he didn't pose on a Buell, they have enough image issues already.

No, at home our President drives a Ford F-250.

And if you think that's the only "good" thing he's done, then you need to lay off the kool-aid my friend.

You could always buy those mags, maybe just not in your state. Thank God for Nevada.

It's funny that you think Bush f'd up the middle east. He's only been president for a few years. People have been trying to wipe out Jews since the time of the Pharoahs. But then it's his daddy or Dick Cheney that's really running the show right?

Next you'll be telling me that Bush blew up the trade center. "Controlled demolition from within" right? Big conspiracy theory? Fake moon landings, alien autopsies, what's next.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

hahahah
hah

ohhhh that's good

wow --

I think all would agree that a visit from the President to your workplace would be an exciting event (even if it's a campaign whistle-stop)

regardless of how you may feel about his actions/record

Calm down, Pwnzor. I never said all of that. Or think that

But I will ask this
Where are the WMDs?
And wasn't the $300,000,000,000 in American tax payer money supposed to stablize the middle east?
Does North Korea have long range missles and soon to have nukes?
What about Iran?

I am sorry but I'd just like to see alot more gained for $300,000,000,000?

I'm sorry I guess I read this wrong.

WMD's are in Syria or Iran. Yes, N. Korea has those things, but they are also backed by CHINA with the largest standing army in the world on their back porch. Iran is way deeper into the pockets of the permanent security council members than Iraq was.

You know, there is more than Bush's unliateral decisions behind everything. He is not the King of Earth. We are one country, bound at the hands and feet by liberal ideology.

I'd like to see more for $300B too. It would be a lot easier pill to swallow if we could just make people walk on their own and get rid of welfare completely. And don't get me started on how much it costs to take care of illegal aliens.

As for the pro/anti "W." banter...

No matter how you feel, he is our President!

I don't agree with everything he has done, but then, I don't agree with everything that my wife does or that my children do, but I still love them and respect them and would kill or die for them!

Lets RIDE!

The president isn't the problem. Sure, I think he has the IQ of a walnut. But that's not his fault.

I'm angry at the people that don't bother to vote and who are so ignorant they couldn't find Isreal on a Map for 10 million bucks even if you gave them 15 minutes in a library to figure it out.

Sure, I think he has the IQ of a walnut. But that's not his fault.

No, that's the fault of Yale University where he has a Bachelor's Degree in History, and furthermore it's the fault of Harvard where he holds an MBA.

Yes, these two learning institutions have real credibility problems in my view. Because all these people who think W is stupid are obviously graduates of someplace MORE prestigious, right? I mean, they must know what they are talking about, and SO MANY people are saying it.

Wait, wait just a minute. You mean to tell me that the people saying those things are the ones who are ignorant and should be called into question for their wild and ignorant statements? I just can't accept that. For I have been living on Mars, in a cave, under a rock, behind a shrubbery, with my fingers in my ears and my eyes clamped shut for the last 10 years.

Just like a typical lefty kool aid drinker to take an obvious JOKE out of context. Run with the ball, the endzone is just over the horizon my friend. It's right there... no wait there it is,.... wait, thats it over there.... nope, wrong again.

Stand on the other side of the line you've drawn. Please, stay there by all means. Next time don't come to the battle of wits unarmed.

What unfortunate divisive pollution of an otherwise interesting thread.

Divisiveness in America sucks. Don't be sucky in America.

Ebay here we come....
"Official Bike President sat on"

Matt -
I was going to get into this arguement, but it seems you're doing fine on your own.

Did everyone see on the news the video awhile back right before Israel entered Lebanon where the President was caught on microphone saying someone needs to "cut this sh*t out" to Blair? I like that he's down to earth. The decisions made by our government might not always be right in your opinions, but they are not always made by the President himself... and they are just your opinions at that... worthless.

Bid quick since there is "No Reserve"..
