You guys up for meeting and hitting the twisties? maybe show us some of the better roads? SO FAR it is me, ducxl, damnut for definates. MAYBE some others would like to get together for the fun? I think we may be staying at a hotel on the mountain or near by. |

I have not made any driving plans as of yet. I figures I'd see who was joining us and make plans from there. I figured a few others would want in and if we need to meet others somewhere along the lines we can. I am open to the Rt.2 idea. I LOVE THAT ROAD!! |

Let me know what sort of hotel you'd like to check into, how many are in your party, etc., and I'll help you with that. I'd love to hook up with youze boys and show you around a bit. You'll have a GREAT time, believe me. If any of you have a trailer, and would like to avoid the straight-lining on your way down, we have great, safe places to park it, too. Should be a helluva great time!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

Maybe since, some of you are from Blackstone valley area,we could instead go out on Mass.9w outta' the Worchester/Sutton area and stay 9w into NY and get (NY) 9s and 9w straight into Bear whilst hugging the Hudson valley from 9w. I'd be very interested in accomodations at that Bear Mountainside hotel place.Kinda a homebase central for carousing about. |

Bear mountian has cabins available. If I remember correctly they have a central living room with about 4 bedrooms off of the common area. |

That sounds cool to me. I don't really care where I sleep as long as I get a shower/coffee in the morning. I like cheap! Thanks for the help with this Tramp! Much appreciated! i have been put on a couple "lists" once or twice..5-6. hopefully not the one where you are.. How much time is needed for room reservations up there? Does it get crazy or are there plenty-o-rooms? How about bars..there are bars up there right?....right!?.... |

who has two thumbs, a Buell and likes beers????????? THIS GUY I just want to know "Where all the white women at?????" (I forget the movie but love that line..... Blazing Saddles???) Yea I can't wait for this trip but my boss might have just thrown a wrench in my plans. It seems that we have a customer in China that needs me there. Looks like I have to go but I'm not sure when or how soon. I have a meeting at 3 this afternoon and will know more then. I am going to do what I can to be in this country for that weekend. I might be able to go and come back by then if I leave this week depending on a Visa. I'll keep ya posted. This thread need a picture:

well the meeting went well. They didn't pull the trigger on sending me to China. My boss said he didn't want to send me to stick it up the Engineering Dept's arse. in-fueding between Field Service and Engineering.... long story. So as of right now I'm still in but that could change really fast. I did mention I was planning this trip in the meeting and the 5 guys there with me just looked at me like I had a penis growing out of my forehead. None of them understood why I would ride my bike to NY just to ride. I kept telling them that I wasn't just one of these yahoos that rides a bike just to be cool and that alot of riders, not bikers, are just RUBS. That last one didn't go over well with my boss. He rides a Road King. here's another pic. maybe you can post it with HH II
Hey LoneXB.... hopefully you can make it. I think your bike is one of the best looking, if not the, I've seen here (besides mine) I'd like to check it out in person. |

My plan is to leave EARLY saturday morning. Earlier the better. Personally 6:00am(OR EARLIER) is perfect for me. (I don't sleep.) Be there for morning/late morning, check in at hotel, and ride all day. I'm HOPPING the rest of the crew can be awake/ready to leave by then. Bear Mountain is about 3 hours away from me. I'm going to look into a Motel and the Bear Mt. Hotel also today. What is the name of the one near west point on 218? |

If 6:00am is too early for youz guys to get up i can leave later. I have no real schedule. I can also leave friday. ..MARRIED!!!!????...i knew she was...BUT... I am too!!???? WTF? WHEN DID THEY MAKE THAT RULE!? JEEZ!! OKAY THEN LETS HEAR IT......WHO IS IN AND WHERE YA WANT TO STAY? I'm thinking Bear Mt. Inn or the motel on Rt218 Tramp speaks of. Well, the "Bear Mt. Inn" has single rooms/w one each Queen bed. They won't allow cots. They're $99./night.That is reasonable for me.We should ride up friday late afternoon. That way we'd have ALL day saturday to explore....the Catskills??? The Showangunks?? Home base should be at the Bear Mt. Inn....me thinks My wife loves the opportunity to say g'bye to me for a couple days. |
