http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=26717 "900cc-1350cc 4-stroke air/oil-cooled 2-valve pushrod twin cylinders" "“If it becomes apparent that a specific model or type of machine gains an unfair performance advantage, AMA Pro Racing reserves the right to implement restrictions including, but not limited to, additional weight to restore competitiveness,” said Crowther. Crowther noted that this stipulation applies to the Formula Xtreme class only." I'm sure they had to throw in that disclaimer. |

Would somebody explain to me why the other brands are so worried about a bike powered by 'out dated' technology? |

If I remember correctly the XBRR is under 1350 cc's. Isn't it something like 1347? |

The XBRR is under 1350. Nothing left to protest, it fits within the rules. |

Hummmm what would be an "unfair advantage"? Like if they were winning podiums like suzuki? Its BS I tell ya! |

most racing series do the "unfair advantage handicapping" however they also clearly define what constitutes that advantage. By requiring consistently faster vehicles to strap on more weight etc. they keep the racing closer. These things are only done when there is a clear advantage though...maybe honda and Yamaha need to strap on more weight. After all, look at this year's podiums. I smell a protest |

Assuming that disclaimer has mostly Buell entries in mind would be a mistake I think. In my view the most likely overdog would be an 850cc Ducati 749R. They are just rightly saying that should someone find their way to fielding an overly dominant FX machine, AMA Pro Racing reserves the right to relevel the playing field. |

In my view the most likely overdog would be an 850cc Ducati 749R. + 900cc-1350cc 4-stroke air/oil-cooled 2-valve pushrod twin cylinders = desmo's dont have pushrods or 2 valves for that matter R |

"650cc-850cc 4-stroke liquid-cooled 4-valve twin cylinders" Other restrictions not withstanding, a 850cc 749 should be legal. |

What Eboos said. See the press release for all the other displacement limits. |
