So my best friend is getting married on 9/30 and his DJ just bailed on him. He's trying to find a DJ for the wedding, but everybody in the area is hip/hop & rap - and they're way too country to have them do it. Does anybody know of a DJ that could be available that day for the reception? If we can't find anybody, I'll be doing it myself...but I'm also the best man, so it should make for an interesting scenario if I do. Let me know!!! |

what kind of music, by the way? one really high-demand guy (ued to be a DJ on middletown's earlier radio station) does weddings like crazy, great guy, I've recommended him to many. |

The more I find out about this wedding, the more frightened I am...I'm wearing a yellow cotton jacket with tails... |

RUN AWAY...quickly...your jacket is going to match the hay that will be the decorative flooring material...or maybe bales of hay will be the seats...yikes (Message edited by angelwild327 on August 15, 2006) |

Angel, you don't realize how on the mark you are...I was talking yesterday with the bride to be discussing details and one of the things she mentioned was having to order the bales of hay... |

Cruisin'...you MUST take pictures and share them...I am sorry in advance for the pain and suffering which you may have to endure..lol Maybe if you just volunteer to be the DJ you can get out of usher duties and NOT have to wear the Hay suit.. HUGS |

We'll want pictures of the event of course. Now that you've whetted our appetites. It's lookin like a Blues Brothers scenario, do you know the words to Rawhide, Cruisin?

I hear Hammer71 is an amazing human beatbox and can do a super fly headspin. You should hear him scratch a turntable. Pure poetry. |

I'll have pictures to post, however embarrassing they may be. Unfortunately Angel if I were to do the DJ'ing I would ALSO have to do the best man duties...no way of getting out of that! That's why I'm just trying to get a good dj...at least I only have to embarrass myself at one thing! |

wish i could help ya. dj tom the beast is the only one i ever knew in this area. he was always booked well in advance and gave a hell of a show. my line of work doesn't usually cross paths with too many dj's. mike |

You pay the airfare & I'll come over to do it. I can't guarantee it'll be good, but I can guarantee it'll be a laugh. Plus you don't get too many weddings with a dj flown in for the occasion. & if he goes for that I've got a bridge lying around somewhere to sell |
