I got a Suomy helmet a few years back when I bought my 750 Monster. Well, I've liked it since I got it, so I decided to buy another one of the same style so the shields would be interchangeable. The new one was only $168/shipped and included clear and iradium shields. I've always wondered how Suomy is pronounced. Is it Soo-ah-me or Soo-oh-me? My old helmet is Aaron Slight replica and the new one is a Ben Bostrom Laguna Seca replica. I don't really follow motorcycle racing, so how do you pronounce Bostrom? Bow-strom or Bah-strom? It is pronounced swa-me. The only reason I know is because the Suomys that I have bought have come with dvd instructions to remove the visor, pads etc... | ||

Yeah, I can't wait to get the new one, it should be here by the end of the week, I hope. I like the way it looks, and I bet the pics don't do it any justice. It's going to take a lot to beat how much I like my first helmet. Bcordb3, its not Snell approved, but it is BSI approved. I hear BSI is better than Snell though. The word flamboyant comes to mind. I can appreciate the artwork, sitting on a shelf. But I can't bring myself to put on something like that. To each his own though, and like I said, sweet artwork!  | ||

I think a lot of different bright colors may make it easier for other vehicles to see me. For the price, I like having the cheaper Suomy replicas, but I'd never buy a high end replica. Then I'd be afraid of scratching the paint. But I bought this one to protect my head, if it gets wrecked a week after I get it, I don't care, I'll go back to my old helmet. As long as it did its job without costing me a ton of money to buy it. | ||

"Where in the HELL did you find a deal like that???" I got it from ebay, it was used twice by the guy's girlfriend, she didn't want to ride on the back anymore, so he decided to sell it. He said its in great condition, and he has good feedback. |
