I can see peoples problems with Israel, because of it we are part of a holy war, but to say you hate jews or any other group of people as a whole is ignorant. Everybody has some prejudice thats just what happens when you live life, repeated results of a given situation and you start to expect or predict it over and over again. The same way many people rip on "cagers" "HD knuckle dragers" "squids" and on and on its just a mater of staying in check mentally and verbally and not allowing yourself to become to close minded or a bigot. As far as Mel, I dont give a rats ass, Just cause somebody has money or is famous doesnt mean shi# to me cause there are many more idiots just like him right next door | ||

He's not the first to claim to love the Lord, but then hate Jews. Study what certain churches did to Jews during WW2. It would make you sick. The reason for these tragic views is probably a misunderstanding of certain New Testament scriptures on the difference between Jews and Gentiles and God's dealings with them. But back on the free speech. Stupider things have been said before. People have a right to say whatever they want and to think what they want. Do I agree with Gibson? No. But aside from this thread, that's his problem. I also think the Hollywood crowd should talk less. Nobody's outraged at Farrakans anti-semetic rants and those are served fresh often. The whole shebang is being used as a weapon against Gibson. You can bet there are other anti-semites in Hollywood and elsewhere. | ||

What's you view on Mel Gibson? I liked him in The Road Warrior and Lethal Weapon. I heard Braveheart is supposed to be good, but I haven't seen it yet. I don't watch many movies. I did go to see Cars and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd recommend it to anyone. | ||

Tramp, Knew you'd weigh in with an objection/correction to my post. And yes anybody that reads the bible would know the difference between Ham, Japheth and Shem. Anti-Zionism is within anti-Semitism. Farrakhan's attitude toward Jews goes beyond opposition to the existence to the State of Israel, which is the specific point of Anti-Zionism. Anti-Semitism is a term that is specific to persecution of Jews as a religious and/or ethnic entity. I've never heard the theory that the Holocost was a Catholic. Hey, Mel has apologized and admitted to being an AHOLE here. What is to be done, burn him at the stake? More folks should just fess up when caught and move on. Instead, they hire lawyers and obscure the facts. Then, they retire to Miami. Okay, here is the inside scoop. My sister works for WB and her boss' best friend is Mel's publicist (who is Jewish by the way). It appears that the word is Mel is pretty much finished w/ most of the Hollywood industry. That being said, he is rich enough that he could write, direct, and produce his own project. So we still may see a few Mel movies. To steal from The Daily Show, "After checking himself out of the Betty Ford Clinic, Mel will be checking himself into the Henry Ford Clinic." | ||

I have heard rumor of a Hollywood being on the verge of civil war. The Cabala cultists vs. Jews. As reported by CNN the Cabala Club is already stock pileing thousands of bottles of Cabala water for the coming conflict. Word has it Madonna has added twin 50 caliber rifles to all of her 80's pointy bras and will be leading the charge down Hollywood Blvd boobs a blazing. The Jews are preparing a barrage of Dreamworks style effects to project images of the Cabala leaders ascending to heaven. An unnamed source told CNN that they would be projecting the images on the edge of the largest cliff they can find. They suspect the Cabali's will folllow these images right over the edge. | ||
