All right, Miss Charlotte. I try to avoid giving unsolicited advice, but your solicitation is a matter of record, so here’s a bit from an older dude who’s been around the block a few times. I suggest you try an older dude who’s been around… No, wait a minute. I got distracted. What I intended to say was this: Get a dog. It’s worked wonders for me. You can even talk about your love affair and post pictures on this board without arousing the few pot-stirrers who lurk about in the area. And I promise you you’ll never be stood up again at lunch, dinner, snack time; well, you’ll never have to eat alone again. I’ll admit, however, that they won’t do much for that other little part of the relationship game, so perhaps you should consider an older dude who’s been… Oh… Whatever! BTW – Is that a new doo? Seriously, sometimes it helps to hear that you could have done worse. I was fishing out of Chincoteague, Virginia one summer, and the boat was tied up at a dock that was attached to a bar restaurant. Since the barroom door of the Waterman’s Lounge was ten feet from my stateroom when we were tied up, any evening in port started with a few cocktails there. I had met an interesting lady and one evening asked her to have dinner with me in the attached restaurant where the crab royal was the best on the Eastern Shore. We had just placed our dinner order, and were conversing over our cocktails, telling each other what we were going to do to one another later in the evening. (I should have known it was too good to be true.) Suddenly, she saw a man walk into the adjacent barroom, said, “Sorry. I gotta go,” and left me sitting alone in the restaurant while she drug him out of the bar, presumably to do all those things I was anticipating to him. “Oh, miss… could you please change that to one crab royal, and bring me a double while you are at it?” I wasn’t quite so old then. But busy making my way around the block at the time. |
Whatever

I think I see why despite having a whole fleet of bikes that fit women well, Buell hasn't sold an unusually large proportion of bikes to women... The seats may be taller, but the BMW guys are a lot friendlier. |

Buellgrrl, Give it a break would you? You've stated your dislike for all things Buell/HDI over, and over, and over, and over again. There's no need to pollute multiple threads with your emotional baggage. G2 |

Charlotte all can say is his loss.I have never stood a girl up with out calling, just the southern gentalman in me. I guess. This one woman I dated after my seperation I was into but after about 5mo. she dumped me. I asked her sister what was wrong? She said If I had slapped her around instead of sending flowers. She would have stayed. I just wasn't raised that way.Sometimes it seems good guys finish last. I had knowen her for severval years and knew she had a hard life and thought I could make hers better, but that was not what she wanted. |
