I'm older than you, have done some track riding as well as 44 states worth of those country lanes on Buell over the last 20 years.

I'll find something to complain about someday. . . I just know I will.

By the way . . . Bomber, if she gets the bike to the lab, I'll step in and make sure the parts appear pronto.

Okay, this is old, and I'm tired.
I don't want to read any more of this.

Buellgrrrl, read all this.
Post here, what you plan on doing here on BadWeB.
It's time.

Buellgrrrl, I think it's time to move on.
Obviously you are of mature age, and of failing health (your MS).
I think if we all could move to a more positive note things would improve.
I'm pretty sure things in Minneapolis can't be all that bad, that you'd want to spend all your time here carrying on.
You'll get nowhere with HDI here, we are not HDI.
We are however a group of people from all walks of life that enjoy motorcycling, and we like the Buell brand.
Believe it or not we are here to help!
When you registered here you, do you remember this?
I am a Buell Motorcycle Enthusiast and wish to contribute positively to and participate thoughtfully in discussions on BadWeatherBikers.com (BadWeB)
or this?
I will not post profane language, nor will I engage in personal attacks or in derision in any form of other users of the board. I agree to treat with respect and courtesy all members of this online Buell enthusiasts' community. I realize that there is never any justification to violate this policy, and that if I do, I may forfeit my BadWeB posting privileges.
Now a comment on the above. I realize EVERYONE in this thread has violated in some fashion or form this important rule. That why I'm posting this and bringing this to an end. I'm singling you out, because I for one believe you are the root of the problem here.
Now if you still need a little refresher, read on.
I will honor without question, debate, or argument any/all custodian/admin request(s) concerning the content and/or decorum of my contributions on the forum.
My comment on the above, is this:
I'm a custodian, I'm warning you now.
Obey the rules or you will be suspended until such time you agree to go by this agreement.
Notice I said suspend. NOT ban.
One thing more from the agreement you agreed to while registering.
I realize that there is never any justification to violate this policy, and that if I do, I may forfeit my BadWeB posting privileges.

Frankly, we all know you about as much as we want to. Perhaps more!

Bomber, thanks for the offer- the bike is running now thought the speedo has now gone from intermittent to totally dead. I mentioned the speedo when I took the bike in to St.Paul HD for the stator, but apparently that's more multitasking than they can handle and they only fixed the stator. So again, after paying nearly a thousand bucks for HDI's extended warranty I have to pay again to fix the bike myself because HDI and their dealers can't.

Glitch, under threat of censorship I will drop this thread. That said, it is notable that you have threatened to censor only the victim of the lemon Buell, and none of the list members that made some rather ugly personal attacks on me.

It's thusly not hard to conclude that this forum is a thinly disquised "astroturf" front for the factory and dealers. Fortunately the custodians can't monitor this forum 24/7, and occasionally some useful communication will sneak through, and I hope will continue to in the future.

CJxb, comparing me to Buellgirlie is a bit ridiculous

I wasn’t trying to compare you that way with her, I was trying to say she has a positive attitude and doesn’t let anything stop her, that’s class, you said she had no class !! Even someone at her age with faster reflexes might have given up that day, but she didn’t, that’s what I was getting at.

She could have complained instead how the other rider caused her to go down, it was the bike’s fault, the track conditions, etc. but she just did what she had to do, resolved her bike issue accepting offers of help from others, and got back out there.

It’s something positive inside a person that anyone can have no matter a person’s age or health.

I do feel bad for you, life being unfair, the bike situation, being older and your health situation, I do, but at the same time I feel you are your own worst enemy right now and not accomplishing much, you can do so much better, anyone can.

And to top that off Bomber, Court and others have bent over backwards to resolve your bike issues with a generous offer of assistance, very decent of them and then you decline saying your bike’s running now !!! Good Grief !!!

I guess this statement means you want the custodians to keep an eye on you.
While the custodians do have a life, and there are times we aren't on the board, a simple search of your user name or IP address will show me what you've posted in the last 24 hours, you will be suspended if you continue your rants and raves. There are ways to communicate your problems and displeasure without acting out.
Thanks for deciding to play by the rules you agreed to when signing up for this site.

>>>>It's thusly not hard to conclude that this forum is a thinly disquised "astroturf" front for the factory and dealers.

In addition to wrong, that's stupid. Wrong people I can handle, I suffer the weak of mind poorly.

>>>but apparently that's more multitasking than they can handle

That's the perfect exampled of HOW something is said. If I worked there and you returned with a bike (bear in mind that the dealer has NO obligation to honor that extended warranty.) I'll tell you to take your bike and pack salt. You simply have a nasty attitude and I, personally, avoid people like that.

>>>>because HDI and their dealers can't.

Yes, yes...and because of this acute lack of proficiency they have become one of America's most successful companies. You're math simply doesn't add.

That being said, I fall in line with you that you have no business being censored here. In order to have a viable DISCUSSION forum one must, by definition, invite diverse opinions. I don't dislike you because we don't agree and I think your ranting, in all candor, tends to showcase the wonderful things Buell has done.

For the record, I think Buell has a huge task before them working on the dealer end of things. Also for the record, I am absolutely certain nothing will be accomplished by simply ranting on the internet.

Buellgrrrl,

If you can't afford to replace a vehicle in your retirement, you either didn't plan very well or maybe you retired from McDonalds, since you seem to know so much about the dollar menu.

Also, there is a DIFFERENCE between ATTACK and RETORT. Nobody here has attacked you that I can find. They have merely reacted to your childish "me me me" ranting. But you're retired, how could you possibly be acting childish. Surely, someone of your advanced age could conduct herself with a bit more panache.

Me, I'll console myself by reveling in your misery. When you rant, I scribble and brainstorm for your new animation, you give me no shortage of fresh material to work with. I'll miss you when you go, because you are definitely on the way out. What will I do with the wee hours of my mornings? Maybe I'll find you on a BMW board somewhere... I'm sure it will be quite easy to locate your rhetoric.

Buellgrrl -- well, the offer's open, if and when -- there's a number of preventative part replacement activities that can be carried out that will go a long way toward making sure your too short riding season isn't interrupted

Court -- Oh, you bet I can fix that surging -- why, just liast night I found a box in the Entropy lab that contained a more-or-less appropriately sized carb, and I KNOW I've got points and condensors lurking in the rafters -- I even know where my dwell meter is located! come on over, sir! The Luddite Lounge (a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Entropy Lab) is standing by for your arrival!

Too funny. I recall, when solid state amplifiers came out, hiding my "old" tube rig so I'd not look "old"....bear in mind I was 12!

Now, as I oogle a new Standel (the rarest amplifier ever made) of the very cool, AND TUBE Dave Cornell.

What was once old is new.

Tube amplifiers provide the highest quality sound. Unfortunately the tubes for my old Sansui are hard to come by so I use my Onkyo for daily listening.

Since Buellgirl is a Buell owner like us and a member on this site shouldn`t we be trying to help her with her situation?

Instead everyone seems to just be attacking her. Many poeple have put many miles on their Buells with no or very few problems, but also many people have had alot of problems with their bikes. Lets face it Buells don`t have the best reputation for reliablity.

All i`m say is that we should be trying to help each other out with our bikes and problems not attack each other.

Excellent point.

I've been riding Buells for 20 years, helping Buell owners for 19.

I just loose my appetite (I fund my work personally) when the comments get snide and nasty.

You think, being right her in the middle of Manhattan, I'd have become calloused.....but, I'm a softie.
