That bar is for a mountain bike dude. I wouldn't go near it. After three reconstructive surguries which have not yet been able to restore my breathing to normal, I can tell you those bars will break VERY easily. |

Azonic does make motorcycle bars. Just make sure that's what you're looking at. |

Brineusaf, I've actually encountered a lot of people making the same error, it's easy to do. No big deal bro. This could help someone else about to take the same misstep.

Pwnzor.....I have that bar on my bike as well as several others I know and this IS in fact a motorcycle handle bar. I got mine at cyclegear and it is the one in the link. Perfectly fine to use on an XB. |

Sorry about deleting the posts... I didn't think about it till afterwards. Sorry. |

"so strong gaurantee it for 5yrs" doesn't that mean it would work? Is it the right diameter? Would it hit the frame? |

I have personal experience with mountain bike bars. Especially the one that broke off right next to the stem on my bike, and through a freakish twist of fate was driven lengthwise into my nasal cavity of my skull about 3 inches and then wrenched violently to the side, crushing the orbital ridge of my left eye socket, distending the eyeball, and severing half of my upper lip so that it dangled like a strip of bacon beneath what was not left of my nose. Most handlebar companies make both bicycle and moto bars to the best of my knowledge though. And Azonic is one of the top brands.

To clarify, the bar that broke on me was a mountain bike bar, on a mountain bike. I read my post again and it sorta sounds like I had it on a motorcycle. I didn't, it was totally a mountain biking accident, but the point is the bar broke when it really shouldn't have and a lot more stress gets put on a motorcycle bar. It's been almost 9 years now, and I still can't breathe through my nose clearly for any length of time. Apparently I snore now as well, although I've never caught myself doing it! So.. what you are saying is that this particular bar WILL NOT stand up to the abuse of being used on the Buell.? |

Not sure about if it would hold up or not, I do know it would hit the "tank" on an XB. A lot of lower bars will indeed hit the "tank". The best bars I've found (for me) are the Cross Roads. I've sat on Black_sunshine's bike, and the bar he uses is nice, and low. Haven't ridden it though. |

What I'm saying is I would not consider that bar safe for motorcycling. All my friends switched to either fatter MTB bars or moto bars on their mountain bikes after my accident. It was freakish the way it snapped. The bike should have flipped and I should have flown over the bars to get some gravel rash and other minor injuries... Instead I did a face plant as the bike moved through the obstacle rather than over and around it. I am wheezing as I sit here, using a steroid mist to try and open my nasal passages. Do yourself a favor and don't end up like this please it's really miserable sometimes. I'd hate to hear about someone hitting a pothole and doing a faceplant into the top triple clamp!

Ok.. I took your advice. I ordered this - CR LOW SR- 71 TAPERED HANDLEBAR (28.6 mm) I have some things developing so... once I get the bike back.. things are gonna change bigtime!I'm so excited... now only if the bike gets back from the shop before the snow starts to fall. |
