I'm considering a few names for mine, and was wondering if anyone here has actually named their bike. |

I havent named my XB yet, still too soon My S1 was named "The Scalded Dog" by friends of mine, for looking like a dog with its tail between its legs and running like a bat outta hell. I was considering Thumper till I found out it was a nickname for Blasts. I think Im gonna call my new one Ginger, cause shes a fiesty red head. Fuy |

Somehow "money pit" comes to mind. That is because I want to keep customizing it, not because I have to. Well that is after the esscential modifications. |

I called my Yellow XB9S "Ol' Yaller" a reference to a famous road racing hot rod of the 1950's I call my new one,"Lil' Blackie" because it is big and black.

My M2 ( reactor yellow, black S3 fairing ) got named "Buttercup". Why? I took over a year to name it. After considering wasp-y names, I decided she was a grrl. A Tomboy, with 'tude. A yellow street fighter? "Buttercup, she's the toughest fighter." "...because it begins with a 'B'." True, you are anthropomorphizing a highly animated, inanimate object. Ships get names. So why not? |

My XB9S is named "Tito" after Tito Ortiz, the UFC fighter. Seemed fitting for a streetfighter. My wife insists that we name all of our vehicles and tractors because "they treat you better if you name them". She may be right! Bill |

I4's that have gone down trying to keep up once they get the fly by! They are pre-arragned, as I burn another it gets dated and the model wrote on it. My first was a 06 R1, lucky for him he was wearing full leathers that day. (Must have made him feel extra froggy, so he jumped, and got ran over!) After the lord of the rings came out I started calling my xb12s (in my best Golum voice) "The Precious". So the name has stuck and calls of "Dont touch the Precious!" still ring out through the kitchen at work to this day. Art |

When I started racing, I had Sandra Lara draw up this cartoon that I had put on my tank. Keep in mind, in Novice class I was bone stock, racing against litrebikes. I'll still call it the Muell once in a while (I'm sure Erik doesn't mind.) Interesting to see that on UKBEG, one of the members there had lifted my logo and changed the colors to match his own leathers and bike. Cool!

After my lowside, I called my XB "Hell-Bitch," named after the wild, bucking horse from the Larry McMurtry novel "Lonesome Dove." "Hell-Bitch" was a beautiful filly that every man who saw her wanted to own. But the owner, Capt. Call, refused to sell her, even though she bucked and even bit him every chance she got. She refused to be tamed. You had to ride her with respect and skill, or she'd throw you. Anyway, it seemed appropriate after the accident. |
