great ride today if a little wet. 250 odd miles of mostly twisted roads, thanx to saintly who mapped the whole thing out in advance. hammer, how bout postin the pics. the cows are curious! trac, no problems on the way home i hope. saint, and rich, funny how our speed dropped off as soon as hammer pulled off the the highway. fun to watch the tach just sit at 5-6 grand for long periods of time. rich, my first time through the hawks nest i kept thinking i must be in the wrong place. first badweb conversation with hammer and saint was something to this effect. |

LOL.. speed dropped off. Mine didnt.Pace of 110 was just fine I think. Have to resize pics, will post them tomorrow some time as I'm very busy rubbing vasaline on my nipples. By the way pics came out pretty good considering what they were taken with. Cows look perplexed in the photos ( what the f..k is that guy mooing at?) Didnt get any of the deliverance dudes with their summer teeth (summer here summer there) or the gas station, gun shop, pizza joint, head shop, porn shop, dollar store place either. Next time around |

So I decided to keep up the pace after we split off and I was alone. There was a Mazda blasting down the road at a 100 mph. Thought he would make a good shield. He pulls over into the slow lane and some cars pull into the slow lane as well. I'm looking at him nodding my head like get over...I didn't realize N.Y.'s finest was rite behind me. Well I was freaking. I pretended not to notice as I sped up to get in the slow lane. He rode next to me for a mile or so. Finally he took off and hauled ass up the road. I think he was admiring the bike, I hope! I got lucky on that one! |

cool thing about yesterday's ride, we can reach any of those twisties in an hour if we run a straight shot out. we need to do that loop again in the dry. made for a good day ride. how about an overnighter into vermont/new hampshire area, or virginia. either way is a great ride. or a longer ride out to the black hills. preferably not during sturgis, too much traffic. |

Sorry I missed you guys, it was Belgium comes to Cooperstown yesterday, and some friends and I went on the brewery tours. Ahh Belgium ales... . Anyway I digress. I love those roads down that way (About 45 minutes to 1 hour to the pepacton reservoir for me). I just got back from getting the kickstand recall done on my XB at Utica HD. The nice part is the run up the Illion gorge on the way there and the way back. Next run you guys are going on, PM me and I will def try to meet up. -Patrick |

sandiego aint too shabby. been there on business, seemed as though it would have some fine riding areas once you leave town. heavy traffic in the city and some serious real estate prices though. |

I'm in the area quite a bit. couple close friends there. one had a nice little m/c shop out on 208 a couple years ago, just a few minutes south of new paltz near ireland corners. another has a vintage triumph trackster shoppe on libertyville between 44/55 and 299. another just opened the soap shop down behind P&G's...I did that plum paint job on the little colonial. another brothe rlives off albany post road and used to work the door at the blue moon, and still another lives up in the hills to the north. great riding country there...also used to climb the 'gunks as a teen w/Krause's grandson... |

static, tomorrow night should be a good night for us at bear mtn, weather forecast looks good. roughly an hour ride for you, but decent roads and meetin up with people to ride with should make it worth it. |

trac, not sure what your schedule is but tomorrow might be worth the trip over to the bear mtn car/bike show. as long as the forecast stays good it should get a killer turnout. take the same exit off 84 you did on sat, 9w south about 15 miles and your there. figure about 20-25 minutes from the diner. if your interested i could meet up with you off the exit. |
