Did anyone catch the race on the Nascar (formerly known as Speed) channel? Another great performance by Rossi as Hayden gave it what he had but came in 3rd, still a podeum finish. Roberts lowsided into another bike and took it out hard. Roberts was Ok, other guy was holding his leg, looking like he was hurting. What a freakin race it was1 Rossi likes to play possum towards the end. He'll let one maybe two bikes pass him in the last few laps, he then slows down himself and holds up traffic, only to then hammer his bike and pass the other two bikes he just let by 2 laps ago. Hayden is still on top of the point standings, but that Rossi is something else. Next weekend they come to the States, via Laguna Seca. One of these seasons I'll make it there to see Moto GP up close and personal! |

Great race, too bad they cut away for 2 of the last 3 laps. |

Heads, that's exactly what i was telling my son! The depth of talent in racing today is AMAZING! It's a good time to be a Motorcycle racing fan! If you can just get them to televise the races |

For sure the TV coverage brings a massive and diverse audience to MotoGP and having a charismatic champion like Rossi makes for very good television. The BBC show the whole race live on terrestrial TV, with a 15-minute build-up and post-race interviews. The show jumping and other yawn-inducing Sunday afternoon pastimes get pushed aside, a far cry from the dark days of 1979 when we left the Roberts/Sheene battle at Silverstone to join the 'action' at Edgbaston. |

Look for Hayden to take Rossi to school this weekend. I hope. Also, in Formula Xtreme, rumor has it that Buell will be in the top five. Speed is covering supersport, superbike, and moto gp this weekend. |

it was Tamada that Roberts took out...it looked as though he was holding his left leg, and that would have been the side that Roberts' bike hit...tho I THINK I remember hearing one of the announcers say later that he was ok. that was a great race Look for Hayden to take Rossi to school this weekend. I hope Nicky can do it again this year...but Rossi does not like to lose...he had a pretty amazing performance last year considering he'd never been on the track. He'll be a lot tougher to beat this time round ...but I'll be there yellin my head off in support |

Lpowel - I agree.. Now that Rossi has 'seen' the fastest line around Laguna.. I sure he's not going to let Nicky run up front very long. Then there's Colin, I know he hasn't had much luck this season, but like Hayden, he's got the second most time on the track. I don't think Pedrosa will be much of slug on that day either.. It's gonna be a good one! |
