There are two "Upstates" one is the northern part of the state of NY.... the other is any area north of the city | ||

yeah upstate by where I live (Middle of nowhere) and not half as far upstate as some. Or the upstate that consists of anything north of that sign on the Deagon that say 87N Upstate  | ||

Have him sign into http://www.AMADistrict34.com That is the Yahoo Group for all of the downstate (NY Metro Area) AMA chartered motorcycle clubs. It'll keep him posted as to what's going on in the area. Better yet, I'm one of the moderators of the group and an officer in AMA District Road Riding 34. | ||

Gomo, recalling one of my many daily subway rides back in the day I still chuckle when I remember hearing a a 10 year old inner city boy tell his friend that he had gone up to the country on the weekend. When his friend asked where, the little boy replied Van Cortlandt Park. For those of you not from the area, Van Cortlandt Park is in the Bronx, and while a really nice park, it is by no means "the country" LOL It's all a matter or perspective ain't it? | ||

Biatch owed me money. Actually it was an active shooter drill for the school. While the teachers were having an in service training another SWAT officer and I stormed the building and raised a little hell. Was a huge surprise as only the pricipal knew it was going to happen. Numerous crying people and almost a heart attack. They got a quick lesson on what to and not to do. | ||
