I wasn't taking the pics..   Ezblast Posted on Thursday, July 13, 2006 - 02:12 pm:        Jeepers - the memories - I tested for dan accidently in Katori Shindo Muso Ryu Iaido when Neal H. had some friends from Japan over visiting at his Florida home to enjoy a private vacation at his expense - he was semi-retired teaching a very limited size classes in Akido, Hwarangdo, and Iaido - basically to just keep his skills up as well - I had been a practitioner then in Hwarangdo and Iaido for almost 7 years. He calls me up at work and says grab the Hakima and get over there asap - that I would be testing - I replied - I don't even have a sword, I've been using yours for the past four of the then 7 years - he said I could use it for testing as well. Well - to make it short - I passed - the most memorable thing I've ever done because it was so unexpected - lol - damn that was like 18 years ago - I'm looking to get back in the game soon - there is a great Wing Tsun school here and I've always been a big guy but lately I'm thinking the density isn't where it used to be - and this school is suposed to be one of the nations' best - besides it would round me out even more - Japanese Shotokan for 8 years as a very young man, Hwarangdo and Iado for 10 after a 6 year stop in studing, and now with over 10 years of coasting - definately shows - lol - I figure while I still have quick reflexes and flexibility - I'd better get back in the waters - GT - JBOTDS! EZ
