Very cool. I like the design. In a sea of Cookie cutter sport bikes, this one is a little different. |

I see that like most other manufacturers, they have taken a few pages from the Buell play book. 1. central muffler 2. See through plastics I think I'll keep my Twelve though, and pocket the $90,000 difference in price. |

If you can take getting beat up by the Buell fundamentalists, you can join this topic that concerns the very bike as well as other startups: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/210744.html?1152279498 |

Gentleman Jon, those plastics are not see through, they just did that as sort of a "cut-away" so you could see beneath them. Black Sunshine, that design doesn't look the least bit "borrowed" to you? Jscott how about saying "if you can put up with the Buell naysayers" instead? I've been following that thread and the ignorance shown by people who get their info from magazines and internet rumor seem to get upset by factory reps speaking factually. At $100,000 that bike is nice to look at, but it's going nowhere fast. |

Pwnzor go right ahead and refer it as "if you can put up with the Buell naysayers". I'll call it exactly as I see it. The thread was started as a followup to speculation of who was going to use the "Highland" V-twin motor. After some initial comments on the Roehr bike's design, it will downhill quick in large part to those who enjoy flaming everything non-Buell. I could care less. I enjoy my Buell, I enjoy Buell racing (when they do), and I am excited about Buell's future. However I do see value in the efforts and aspirations of others, and their enthusiasm excites me. If Cszyz had ill words for Buell it is ill reflecting on his charachter, not mine. I wouldn't characterize people as ignorant for getting information from the internet or magazines, as this is the only source we have. Not all of us benefit from direct Factory info as others appear or pretend to. |

"this is the only source we have. Not all of us benefit from direct Factory info as others appear or pretend to." I said "internet rumor". I never said the internet was a bad place to get information. And it's not the only source. Use the resources around you to your advantage. And go back and read the thread again. You're mistaken. |

I think this guy has some good ideas. If his bikes ever reach mass production, I think that there will be models in the normal literbike price range. The question of if this bike will ever make a MotoGP race seems to be just a question of money. He has been wrote off as a rich hobbiest with an ego... so what? I know a couple of rich hobbiests with rather large egos that turned their hobbies into successful businesses. As for rich hobbiests in motorcycling, look at Michael Jordan. Who would have thought that he would have a superbike race team? My point is, give this guy a chance. Your money isn't on the line, and if he fails then so be it. |

I am a huge fan of "Rich Hobbyists with Egos", particularly when my neighbors get a wild hair up their ass . . from yesterday's New York Post.
quote:Alan we find a bit more intriguing. He's got plans to spend more than $75 million transforming a 300-acre property in upstate New York into a private auto and motorcycle racing facility, as well as a "family compound." "I built every motor head's dream," he says about the estate he's calling Wilzig Racing Manor. "It's a truly private, secluded roadracing circuit." The property includes a state- of-the-art, 1.18-mile, 30-foot-wide racing course with various elevation changes and a motocrossstyle track for dirt bikes and racing buggies.
Of course he has a couple hundred bikes and is building a garage, and staffing it, to see to it that they are properly maintained. |

LOL That wasn't quite what I had in mind (yet if it was open to the public, that would be a different story). In Czysz's case, his wild hair isn't going to harm anyone. If he fails he will just make an ass of himself. If he succeeds, then we will have more bikes to choose from. Win win situation if you ask me. |
