I stand by what I said. And it appears it is true according to Cochise as he admits the term riding your mom was in poor taste. }?????????????????????? you may include me in the poor taste club too I Have had my foot in my mouth a time or two In this country there is freedom to follow what ever faith you choose EXCEPT christianity. Taking "IN God WE trust" off of the money "one nation under GOD" out of the pledge The "ten commandments" out of sight And Prayer out of schools How long till the churches are shut? please quote me in the intirety, not out of context, What does that mean? }to answer you My faith as of late seems to be under attack to some extent, the items that I listed are some points that I make The last time I looked kids in public schools aren't forced to watch others recite the Talmud or Koran during school. So why should they be forced to watch others pray to a Christian God? Again we're talking public schools. If that suites your fancy put 'em in a private Christian school. }My statement) Me. I would like to see that if students WANT to say a prayer with out interfeerence[they] may do so (this was also inclusive of other faiths implied by my prior statements. }No where did I say that any one should be forced to watch In my mind its clear that all should be free to practice what ever belief that they want, Weather or not you understood me that is what I meant. And the "one nation under God" was added in the 1950's out of fear from an atheist Russia. It's removal should be forthwith as it was not intended in the first place. }God is used as a noun here and can be applied by any faith, insert Jehova, Allah, or any other name. And it's called a Yamika, just so you know. } Thank you I am not Jewish and did not know the correct term. And it is allowed in public schools as is wearing a cross and a burkha. If prayer IS important to you there's a plethora of private schools. To have true freedom implies just that. }So is having a prayer if you want to weather you are moslem, jewish or christian That Evolution is properly explained as an EDUCATED GUESS }That's just too ignorant a statement to touch. PLEASE, Define the word theory has it been PROVEN conclusively or are the scientist making "educated guesses" based on the evidence at hand? Christianity exploded in Russia after the fall of the Soviet system, it is growing at a staggering rate in China even against stiff punishment for the belief, and their standard of living is improving. The U.S. and many European countries have significant Christian populations, I too believe that as these groups move away from their faiths the countries will suffer decline Again you keep talking about Christian, Christian, Christian. So everyone who's not Christian or takes Christ as their savior is not going to heaven? {That is what it says in the bible I did not make it up If you re read what I posted it was not confrontational and most of what I have said can be determined to be true. Clarify that one for me. It's as if you're saying believe what you want but if it's not my God well there's no help for you. This is what it says King James Version John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemed, but he that believeth not is condmned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of GOD The above is Crystal clear to me. Religion does not belong in Politics, Agreed as much as the religious right and the moron in charge would like you to believe. I do not agree with all that the admin does but Moron seems a bit strong here. IMO the decline of this country will be from the extreme religious right that mandates who marries who, }My bible does not have any instructions about who you can or can't marry, it does indicate that it should be a one time thing, same sex marrage is not mentioned in the texts that I have read so far. who can and can't have kids, }My bible does not have any instructions about this either who lives as stems cells needed for research are living beings. }I dont follow it so I dont know. Again true freedom means what it implies -- freedom for all, and freedom from exclusion based on sex, race or religions. Not just freedom for some. Agreed If you will re-read the portion of my post where I mention these things you will see that I did not say that islam judiasim or any other religion should not be tollerated I stated my view and some points that hold it up from the tone of your post I take it that you are offended IF I have offended you I am sorry But as I see it there is one GOD, His Son and His spirit, these are as real to me as the sun rise, His word is truth MY truth I am a flawed human trying to follow the truth as I see it MY intent was to share not to insite .. |

Everybody's different and you have to be tolerant of everyone. To me there never was, is, or will be a god and I view most religions the exact same way. Which is no different than the ancient Greek or Nordic religions based on myths of the day. Religion is man made, yet most claim divine assistance in their creation. So which one is right? I know. Yours. Religions are evil, or have the potential for evil. Many of the worlds worst atrocities have been committed in the name of religion. |

and many, MANY people lack the innate moral fibre to live a virtuous life, so i'm relieved that many of them have a 'fear of hell' to keep them honest. religion serves a very good purpose in most of those cases. some of us make our heaven on earth....and were born with the moral fibre and goodness to keep us from doing evil...and have the inborn desire to do right....religious or not. |

I used it as a rebuttal, i was quite agitated that what I said was out of context MANY people lack the innate moral fibre to live a virtuous life, so i'm relieved that many of them have a 'fear of hell' to keep them honest. religion serves a very good purpose in most of those cases. I dont disagree }Many of the worlds worst atrocities have been committed in the name of religion. Sadly that is also true Crusades, inqusition, salem, the holocaust, 911 } END .. |

I'm bowing out. I'd rather not provoke or be a part of an opinion based debate on a "bike" specific website. |
