Kinda, I mentioned it in the Fuell Magazine thread. They didn't use my entire quote though and they didn't mention my club, but who cares, my name is in the magazine along with a couple of other Badwebbers, although mine is on top |

I think the problem with the way my quote was worded actually made it sound like I didn't like the bike, which would be wrong. I think I'm going to sue them. |

Dora ya have to remember though that that writ up was based on a long term test that they clearly state that they had zero problems other then replacing the tire and a belt that was damaged by a rock. They spoke of how this bike is leaps and bounds better over the past generation tube frame bikes and have finally made a bike worth testing. Don't know about you but enough said. Its definately not negative in its writing. |

its not negative, but it sure talks a lot about old problems. and problems that do happen with new, but very rarely. so.....if you were a non-buell person, i'm just saying it wouldnt make you go check it out. we all already love buells, so a non-negative article is good. for a non-bueller, it really needs to be a rave review to motivate action and to get over the legacy of buell's earlier years. just my opinion, D |

They spoke of how this bike is leaps and bounds better over the past generation tube frame bikes and have finally made a bike worth testing }and to get over the legacy of buell's earlier years. My 01 Buell has been good, minor problems all but one or 2, those were warrantied, I have never had to walk or have assistance due to break down the suzys not so. My 79 suzis were not totaly trouble free 79 1 alternator, points till i altered it, batteries yearly, a rebuilt wiring harness, carbs 4 to contend with every year, cam covers and plugs leaked, I added an oil cooler because it ran hot. At 58k the fuel tank rusted out, valve adjustments every 3 months for the first 2 years, plugs & wires were a problem, fuel line split and nearly caught the bike on fire, brakes squeeled from day one. other known problem odd size steering head bearing was difficult to get and prone to break. It was touted by the mags as the finest handling and lightest liter bike on the market in 79 mine was prone to be evil handling and wobbly, But quick, new continentals and a painstaking wheel alignment was the only help the 83 petcock failed and filled the engine with 3 gallons of gasoline I did not keep it long after that. 86 gsxr no data 500 mi crash and burn. We have the Xb bikes with all of the lessons learned, and applied Any prospective byer that does not talk to owners and relys on the "mags" for their info is in for a disapointment, also if they think that Japan Inc builds perfect bikes they also are in for some dissapointments Buells biggest handycap is being sold in the chrome and leather boutiques, by folks that don't care for them or view them as a lowcost option. No accessories, so so parts availability, and problems with techs not being familiar with them in the dealerships, are hurtful, The mag article is a good thing |

same issue of cycle world. page 67. in the middle of the "six and the city" comparison there's a cool quote about buell. at leno's house, he talks about HIS BUELL, and says "it has such personality, you know" yay for that comment, buried in a suz/kawi/hon/yam/duc/hyo $5-$7.5K article is great! D |
