Shelby Cobras were formed aluminum built over wooden "buck" Here's a pic of the Cheetah being assembled with it's buck in the background. The guy looks like he tried filling in between the forms of the buck with foam in order to try fiberglass and then let it stay out in the sun too long and the foam started breaking down badly.

WOW...yeah,Jim Hall and his exotic 327ci. powered Cheetahs'.The coolest machines. Where you actually sat over the rear axle right? Too bad the Cheetah shop burnt down way back then.the Cheetah was a remarkable machine.He was the Can-Am/Lola guy too right? |
