I don't have too many pictures of my stuff @ home. http://labratsoftware.com/home.html but the above link pretty much describes what I am running. Yes I know I need help... Suffice to say there are a lot more here at the office.... Oh yeah forgot I just got my Netra T1 back (was being the firewall at my highschool). So that is at home waiting to get updated to Solaris 10 to become a small app server. (Message edited by doon on June 23, 2006) |

Just picked up a Dell E1705 2.0GHZ Core duo 1 gig of ram( I really need to upgrade to 2 gig for the Cad/Cam work I do) GeForce Go 7900GS 17" 1440 x 900 display(I didn't upgrade this, since dell has had trouble with their 1920 x 1280 displays on these). 100 gig HD Best of all, I paid $1390 for this At home I have several computers hooked to my network. An Athlon 64 3800+ 2 gig ram, 600 gig worth of HD space, GeForce 7800GTX. An SGI indy(not really used anymore), 2 G4 Macs. I'm not as nutz as I used to be about this stuff. I really love this new laptop however. I've only had it a week, but these new Core Duo chips ROCK! |

Wow, some of you guys have some serious hardware. My current rig (~2 years old):
A64 2800+ clawhammer chip OC'd to 1980mhz (9x220) 1gb DDR400 9800se Dual WD80 Caviar drives (IDE) Acer 1914b WinXP home I had it overclocked to 2088mhz for a while, but it would flake out on occasion. In the current configuration it runs rock solid and never goes above 45c. The spare rig is an old Athlon 1ghz with 256mb of ram and on-board video. *edit- added OS (Message edited by spike on June 23, 2006) |

Still have a Ti99 in a box somewhere. I have a wood burning PC, about ready to upgrade to coal since natural gas doesn't reach out to our remote outpost. |

I met Erik Klein many years ago at an Atari convention in San Fransisco. He's a great guy with too much time and money on his hands. I would love to have his collection, but notably absent are Atari ST series computers. |

8086, although PC's with 80186s where fairly rare IIRC. |

Josh, IIRC, the 80186 was never used in PCs. The PCs I've owned, in order... Sinclair ZX80 Tandy Coco Sinclair Rainbow(very rare in the USA.) I only had it like a week, researching if we could sell the thing(my brother owned a computer store at the time). Atari ST IBM clones from then on... |

I got the 80186 from a "bridge" processor card at a place that used IBM big iron, AS400s, DEC VAX, DEC Pathworks, Novell and Microsoft circa Oct 94. What a zoo. I was always under the impression 80186s were never used in PCs, but Google turned up this My first home PC was a 386SX with a 20MB Seagate MFM hard drive in a giant tower case. |
