And turn signals, why tell people what you are going to do. Hell, tail lights also, WAY overated. If people cant tell that you are slowing down without some silly little light, they shouldnt be on the road! |

I think you should take all that crap off your bike. If you get rid of all that extraneous stuff, you will have a higher power-to-weight ratio, and can get out of tight situations faster. All you really need are the wheels, engine, and gas tank. Hell, get rid of the brakes entirely - in an emergency, you can just lay 'er down - that's the safest thing to do anyway. |

Finally...someone who see's the light! I mean, I've found that if I leave my headlight off at night then the cagers have nothing to aim for! And what's up with those helmets, all they do is block my view and make it hard to dodge the cagers. And if I don't wear it I don't have to clean it near as often! |

Just use your helmet to bash them until they fall off... |

You should take off the footpegs while you're at it, they really dont do anything since you are sitting on your butt anyway. |

no footpegs makes for better foot braking... |

You're supposed to drag your feet a little all the time for greater stability anyways. (I actually SAW this on mount Washington a couple of years ago. They were dragging their feet ALL the way up.) |

yep- and without a helmet, you can hear most stuff behind you....this is FAR safer. |

If you want to lighten up the bike for even better power to weight ratio, eliminate / get rid of as many heavy fasteners as you posabaly can and replace them with lite weight duct tape. |

and that engine! now, that's one heavy item. remove it, sell it on ebay, and install a nice little stihl chainsaw engine....ohhhh it sucks for uphills, but it'll get you wherever you're going- eventually |

I don't need a headlight on my helmet, it's only got one eye & doesn't need to see where it's going anyway! |

ignore all those books, too! and all those folks that have been riding since the first Nixon adminstration -- they clearly don't know what they're about! oh, yeah, and those sidestands! remove em instantly! just lean the scoot agains the side of the bar, and you'll be fine! |

A personal tip to share: I have found it to be far less expensive to just spray paint wy visors instead of buying tinted ones. Sure you can't see d*ck anytime, but look at the $$$ you can save - definitely worth it!

Boy, this is such a thought-provoking, intelligent and insightful discussion thread on a relevant and controversial topic. Good for no more than 3 or 4 sentences in each response. Easy to read, too. Whoops, that's more than 3 for me. GOOD JOB, Tramp!!! (Message edited by CURTYD on June 16, 2006) |
