Hopefully the pic now is satisfactory. YES!!! The new pic is very satisfactory! As for selling Buells, I just tell everybody that they are an American made motorcycle that is fun to ride! I think that is the main reason that Buell has so many "Demo Days". Once you ride on, you buy one! I just purchased a new XB12X Ulysses after the local dealer's Buell Demo Days event. I test rode a XB12SS and two XB12x, one with a low seat and the other one with the standard seat. I bought XB12X the one with the stock seat. Best of luck in selling Buells and welcome to Bad Web. |

I think she's just wanting to sell bikes to whomever..male, female nah, what I meant is, I wonder if her presence itself as a female salesperson was encouraging any sales to female riders. Not that she would be actively pushing one way or the other... |

i have no idea what the perkins waitress story is....but no matter HOW cute the waitstaff is - if the service sucks or if they're clueless - it doesn't matter how cute the person is (sometimes though, they get a pity tip) i made a living off waiting tables for 7 years in TX, NC, and DC. trust me, the turnover of pretty young things was enormous. trading on youth, beauty, or low prices is a fleeting success best left to hollywood actresses and used car salesmen. enthusiasm and knowledge win in the long run. of course, it never hurts to be cute, but its not a sustainable "strategy"! i owned a 4 wheel drive vehicle tour and outfitting company from 1999-2003. i never put a pic of me up on the site, because i wasnt interested in trading on anything other than enuthusiasm and knowledge. rachel - study up on the bikes, immerse yourself in the local motorcycle scene, take a motorcycle course (road and/or track), ride the heck out of them, and then you'll become a great asset to the buell brand. It was going to come out sooner or later Tim! Dora I completely agree, I am all about service. The difference between a dive and a 5 star restaurant? How they treat you when you come through the door. The cooks, food suppliers etc. are usually the same people rotating through. I do tip well for good service and make a point of talking to a manager if I receive good service anywhere I go. It can make a difference for the wait staff. A lot of the time I freak a waiter/waitress out when I ask to see the manager. Managers are usually surprised too. They get so used to hearing people complain. Just me being well....ME! |

welcome, new kid -- I may have missed this in the thread, but I'd suggest you point new/prospective owners to this site -- if enthusiasm is infectious, it could be helpful to the customer -- +1 on the suggestion on training/trackdaze et all -- I can think of no activity that is not more enjoyable with a great skill/knowledge level -- welcome, in any event, and have fun at the new gig! |
