A '73 Honda CB500 was recently given to me and it needs work; alot of work infact. I have found afew sources for parts except one major one: Anyone have a clue where I can get a replacement wiring harness for this thing? It's previous owner cut it all up. Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated! |

Look on ebay for somone parting one out, or get a manual and build a new one. Here is a 71 cb 500 I saw on e-bay today someone is parting out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-Honda-CB500-CB-500-Rear-Wheel-Rim-Sprocket_W 0QQitemZ4646546005QQihZ002QQcategoryZ35601QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

seth- i can locate one fast. I'm currently restoring a '78 cb 750 k, and i have a small stcokpile of cb 350s, etc. ping me the exact model, etc., and i'll check the pile by monday. I just gave a 350 away to a local grommet. the harness is pretty simple on the '73, and, as such, is easy to make from scratch, as well. we used to collect them for their voltage regulators, etc, for retrofitting to lucas-wired limey iron. hated them thar' zener diodes and plate rectifiers. |

Seth, I just gave two of those to a friend as I needed garage space. I have full color schematic diagrams in one of the old repair manuals. If you need please drop me a PM. They are pretty easy to recreate if you need, all you need is the proper color wires to keep things straight. |

Check your Honda dealers. There was a myth a few years back that they had a warehouse with parts for every bike ever imported into the USA in Calif. It may have been a myth but Honda has always had good parts availability over many, many models and years. GOOD LUCK. |

Tripp, The links don't work. I was looking forward to seeing any ideas for the bike I'm putting back together. |

Try the Bent Bike in WA...they have tons of old parts, more than their web site would have you believe. http://66.113.178.98/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=92 |
