I don't know about anyone else but I am thoroughly disgusted with the action that has gone on here this past few months. BadWeb used to be a place I actually enjoyed coming to make mindless postings, share pictures and have some friends. Stand back, drop the emotion and have a close look at what happened. I don't think you guys really realized whats been happening. I am deeply saddened by the crap that has happened. I wish everyone would just get along once again. | ||

I agree, more and more I just don't seem to come and check this board out anymore. Maybe Buell needs to create an entirely new bike with major problems so we can all talk about how to fix them and modify them because it seems like we have covered the current bikes problems so much that they are non existent anymore and well what more can we do to modify them that hasn't already been done by at least one member here. Time to go ride, I'll check back here next week to see if the Drama has left the building and maybe we will here about more constructive things to bring the interest of this board back up. | ||

BADWEB is still a good place, most of the players are still cool people, and it'd be a shame to lose anyone, including either of you guys, over this. this stuff will pass. in the meantime, hang around, tell a story, post a pic, crack a joke, and help us remember what it "used" to be like. Jerry I'm not mad at ya. But man why all this crap!!! We all used to get along. The way this is going sooner or later doing and organizing events like when we did the 20th and Homecomings to name a few that I had envolvement in organizing makes ya feel like why try and do with all the negativity and hostility. Things like that are going to be harder to do with this happening here. | ||

Some of it, may be do to the shear size of BWB..I mean,ihaev only been here a year..adn I have seen the amount of members GROW... Honestly, I got along before it.. I know I am kinda abrassive..but thats me, and I know I am not the only one. It doesnt matter where you are, who you are, what you are doing... Eventually, you are going to cross paths with someone, who is having a sh*tty day, while you are having one...the fur will fly... Appologies will be made...forgiven(hopefullY) forgotten... we are human, and when you get X personalitied together, you are gonna get friction, adn possibly altercation... Its a fact of nature.. How is it, a group of people, can go from, just hanging out partying, to a riot? All it take is for someone to swing... and the natural reaction, is for MOST people, to invovle themselves.. But man why all this crap!!! i can only comment on my actions today, not anything "else" that may be going on. i've had a tough day, and i took exception to something that was said about a friend of mine. i let my temper get the best of me, and said something i shouldn't have. i've publicly apologized for it, and stepped down as custodian. as far as any other "strife" that may be going on around here, well, there are a lot of egos bunched up in a pretty tight place, and stuff like this, unfortunately, happens in the real world. it doesn't make BADWEB any less of a cool place, and the more "good" people who hang around and continue to contribute, the better this joint will be. all this stuff will pass, in time. any long-term relationship, be it friends, significant others, business relationships, etc., will have periodic rough spots. BADWEB is strong enough to weather this storm. FB | ||

Hope your right Jerry. It sucks to say this but I for one have been posting and contrubuting less and less. The wind is leaving the sail. I'm looking forward to Homecoming this weekend to see some old faces and meet some new ones,if it doesn't relight the passion for being here well..... I don't know..... growing more distant. I guess I'm the weird one. All the arguing & bickering that goes on here all the time makes me think of BadWeb as one really huge family. I can't think of a single family that doesn't have at least two members bickering at any given time.  | ||

Ferris, you're to hard on yourself, which may serve you well, but part of the custodian thing is about what's best for others even if it means fracturing ever so slightly one of your own major principles. That is to say, a man of such high principles and selfless attitude toward others is better serving the BadWeB community rather than us mourning you standing down as custodian. Don't do it Jerry, you have contributed too much to this board for just two words, no matter how off kilter it might have been. We need Ferris Bueller. Badweb is still my favorite board. I spend most of my time on the C3 board. So most of my communication on the board is with riding buddies either talking about rides we've had or planning new ones. It has been allot of fun and we have made some really good friends. My advice to all is, go for a ride! Go attack some curves and don't comeback until you have a smile on your face again. I'll say it again, Badweb is still a great place and my favorite board. | ||

I concur with Newfie and others that are appalled at the recent degradation of the topics on the BWB. I read to relax and enjoy the sport with friends. Not to watch two or more folks bicker over semantics and their personal agendas. Knowing full well that various sensitive subjects will surface again and again, perhaps we can learn to address them objectively and not with subjective outbursts. I should think if that were considered and each of us sincerely think before posting the issues could be discussed and perhaps even result in a meeting of the minds. You may not agree with anyone about anything, but at least you would develop an understanding of their position. That's the start of mutual respect on the BWB. Sure, I have seen families like Metalstorm referenced, but they are the exception not the rule. Plus, when you take a close look at them the reason for all the friction is they, as individuals, are dysfunctional in one or more areas. As a result, most shrinks and counselors would recommend they go their separate ways as continuing to try to stick together in a negative environment will just promote a serious downward spiral until something goes terribly wrong. So let's get along and work together on issues or words we may not agree with. The BWB will be a better place if we do. | ||

Yeah... No reason at all to step down Jerry IMO. Do what you must though... It's all good. From what I've found this sort of thing happens from time to time on this board... I've watched it a couple times but to be honest not as wide ranging as this and obviously it didn't include the old schoolers. Such is life though. The board is still great and "This too shall pass". Dynamics change. I've had a couple tiffs with people over here (even had to edit a few posts actually) but life most certainly goes on and everyone typically returns to normal. Let it be. So what if someone told someone to go fly a kite... It's not really an attack as much as an opinion IMO... | ||

I hate to say this, but I've seen it on many other large boards. Maybe Blake can just open a "flame" section and all the moaning and groaning and hostility can just be dumped over there. Keep the regular boards free of issues like we seem to keep having, where informative stuff should be. Personally, I don't like sifting through people's bad attitude filled posts to get to the stuff that pertains to BUELLS! In an ideal world people would know just when to email others personally if they have emotional issues. Really, it's like watching people you care about fight in front of you, it's uncomfortable and should be kept private. Thanks Angela | ||

Ya know, you don't HAVE to read EVERY post. If you don't like the drama, you CAN just skip over those posts. Me, I'm embarrassed to say that I read them like watching a train wreck in slow motion. For the most part i stopped visiting and posting on this site about 6 months about due to all the BS, restrictions, and double standards here. I think alot of it revolves around sponsers and money. I`ve been hanging out at SACBORG and its been alot of fun, give it a try. |
