So someone does appreciate the irony of being abused by moderators after accusing moderators of abuse. >Your connection with the issue at hand is known...when you are about the business of stirring the pot. Please explain. I reposted on this thread because moderators seemed to be reading here and my original prose was ignored on the main page. Nothing more. I do not believe I have began any issues other than those I have alluded. To wit; posting references to non-sponsors when there was no other source for said item and posting non-buell related items in the Quick Board that were for no known reason yanked by moderators. Please note I do not respond to IMs. I would rather know it can be read by all then wonder. (And for the record, Snail and I did in fact met once at Bonneville in '03. "Hi" being the extend of the exchange, which I will now repeat. Hi Paul.) (Further for the record, no worries Jerry) |

I have made it a point not to post in any of these threads for one reason, but I am SICK of seeing this thing. This thing is TOO OLD and toooo many are starting to sound childish, on BOTH sides. For everyone's sake put this frigging thing to rest. If someone has an argument with someone else, then either email them or call them. Custodians, I know where you stand, I have been there in the past many times myself as a custodian on boards. Here's my two cents on being a custodian. If you as a custodian delete or move a post, as a "professional" courtesy, you have a duty to let the individual who created it know why. There is only one person on this board who has a right to do whatever and/or say anything he wants, and if he chooses to do so, I don't care, because he owns it, it's his ball. Since being a member of this board, I have not seen him act in this manner. He has his heated discussions and people think he abuses his position, and even though I've stated it's "his ball", I don't feel he has ever treated anyone like that, or acted that way. I'll say no more on this. If someone has a problem with what I say, forget even posting about it and email me at one or all of the email address below and I'll get back to you as soon as an opportunity presents itself. southernmarine@gmail.com lassiterrd2002@yahoo.com robert.d.lassiter@gmail.com or robert.lassiter@usmc.mil Just let this thread die, better yet, delete it. |

sarcasm from moderators in regards to corrective issues would seem to be an undesireable response from all aspects. I agree too, nice and thoughtful post in response Jerry, very nice !! And by the way, not to stir the pot, but what's up with Blake being so quiet, witty and nice in his posts lately ?? I'm mucho impressed !! |

Hi back at you, Josh. Are you Dougs son? The Blast rider? Still waiting for the admins. to cop to who deleted my thread. It appears to me that the game is called favortism. Rather than delete or reprimand Rocket for posting offensively on my thread you chose to delete the thread, thus saving the embarassment for Rocket. Who culled my thread? |

I've read this several times - there is no abuse - period. As for the thread gone - dunno or care - if it was inappropriate - it goes - that simple. There is not enough heat here to even warm my hands - so I see a lot of wasted effort in place instead for no good reason - this thread is getting silly - so:
Can't find my pancake bunny so this will have to do - lol - you guys really need to lighten up - lol |

Paul, please stop using me as an excuse to get your own way. I made it perfectly clear to you with the utmost courtesy why I posted in YOUR thread. I simply disagreed with the appropriateness of the subject matter at such particular time.

Snail, Bummer about seeming arrogant today (last night). Just real tired. I think sarcasm is good generally. Probably a no-go at a funeral. I enjoy it when faced with something that needs to be slapped out of the park, like a ridiculous proposition or accustion. And it's much better than foul language! C'mon you guys! No more sad faces! Josh, you're kidding me, right? Well, maybe we oughtta toast this thread... |

Let me add: It is my perception that the sole intent of certain recent posters has been disruption. Those folks are not here for Buell, Badweb, or good conversation. For some of these folks the next level of narcisism is to petulantly demand an explaination or apology for either custodian actions or apparently now...sarcasm. When I go into an establishment and don't like the people, food, service, etc. I might speak about it to the management, but mostly I just leave. This site is getting polluted with drama as some have said, but not by me or any other custodians. And the site will be cleaned up to the best abilities of the custodians. Well it's time for ice cream at my house...Yiipeeeee!! |

I came here looking for some answers, and found them. After oberving Badweb for five days its easy for me to see why good people have left. |

Let me add, your most telling comments have not been ignoring my observations, belittling me nor repeatedly asking me to leave this forum. You do completely misread me. You think I sound "crabby" "whiny" and "need to take a break." I have in fact just returned from a wonderful 11-day vacation and am feeling sublime if erudite. Before leaving I brought up what I thought to be some matters of principal regarding the underlying community rules of BadWeb. Upon seeing my concerns unaddressed I raised them again in a forum that was getting more posts that the main board. BadWeb is intended to be a community with certain rules. My general concerns: I do not see the rules being applied evenly. I do see the rules being tightened more and more over time. My specific issue: Custodians appear to be pulling threads they simply do not like, even when those threads abide by the letter and spirit of the community rules. Perhaps addressing this by naming example threads is "nitpicking". I was simply giving an example. |

Josh, That old faux Ford cat decapitation ad video thread that got pulled seemed to violate our family oriented content policy. No big deal, nothing personal against whoever posted it. They obviously did so with only good and festive intentions. They just might not have considered that seeing a video of a house cat being decapitated may be funny to some (I admit, I laughed, but then I don't much care for cats), but horribly upsetting to others. I know that if it were a Border Collie instead of a cat, I would have been horribly offended, even outraged. Lots of folks love very very much their pets and sure as heck don't need to run into that kind of content via BadWeB. I support 100% the removal of that thread. It was NOT removed in any way shape or form due to your post in it. All, Custodians are humans too. One the whole, I think they do a great job. I deleted one of Rocket's threads last week. He didnt' complain. He was out of line with board policy. Pretty sure he knew that. Accurate or not, right or not, justified or not, all this indignant accusation and criticism of what is an incredibly positive and popular place for Buell enthusiasts to gather is strange to me. I've been banned, had my posts edited and/or removed, had threads locked on other forums. I don't carp about it publicly, well until now. Custodians here are human and prone to the same emotions and flaws and misinterpretations as everyone else. Some of us are more flawed than others. This whole web forum thing sure has forced me to grow and stretch as a person. That is a good thing for sure. Right CJ? CJ just wants everyone to get along. Me too. That is probably an impossibility, so I just hope we can all respect each other, even when we feel wronged or disrespected. All the indignation is just so silly to me. Thank you David (Southern Marine), I sure appreciate seeing expressed your thoughtful and supportive view on the whole issue. It didn't take me long, even before meeting you in person to recognize what a truly honorable man you are. Thanks for setting such a good example for all of us. There is a LOT of misinformation being spread about BadWeB on competing boards. For instance, Court was never banned. Yet that has become the reality for some, some who absolutely know better. Like I've said before, anyone who contends that Court was ever banned from this forum is not being honest. Some would do well to take note of such dishonest behavior and ask themselves why it continues. Neither have I ever mandated that anyone be denied participation in any grass roots racing team. For the record, custodial concerns are only that the integrity and honor of our community be maintained fairly for all, and defended against those who would seek to corrupt it, applying our family oriented Buell Enthusiasts' site policies fairly and equally for all. Certainly we sometimes goof up on that. It ain't personal. Ever. I've gotta go back outside and continue working on uncovering our disintegrating sewer line. Good honest work for sure. Not all that fun, but worth it to avoid having a back-hoe lay waste to our azaleas, hollies, indian hawthornes, asian jasmine, not to mention the middle of the front lawn. It's good exercise. Who wants to help? Volunteers? Hey, it's mostly in the shade. Then again the shade is provided by the Oak trees whose roots are the main obstacle to easy progress. I think we all need something positive to focus on and as those fine wise folks here have counseled, leave this miserableness behind altogether. If anyone really needs to get a BadWeB related issue off their chest, please just call me. My # is in the RAN listings. Leave a message and I will call you back. Dropped the phone in the dirt once already so it gets left on the porch in relative safety. Please be excellent to each other. PS: Besides enduring bleeding blisters and lots of pain, is there a cure for chronic office-boy hands? Yeah, I'm wearing gloves. What I wouldn't give to have my old offshore working man's hands back right now. I've become a friggin' pansy! (Message edited by Blake on June 02, 2006) |

Hello'dar, In case your board, here's my 1st attempt at a Moon Mosaic (a series of images pasted together). Once you get to the link below you will see the "overall" smaller scale version of the Mosaic. If you click on the word ORIGINAL, which is located below the image, it will take you to the LARGER Mosaic image. The screen will be BLACK when you get there, so you need to use the SCROLL bar at the bottom to navigate to the right, and then the right scroll bar to navigate down. If you get that far you'll be able to figure it all out. http://www.pbase.com/smokedaddy/image/61210913/large Okay, now the links below will take you to some of my Solar images. You'll see the thumbnails, just click on them. http://www.pbase.com/smokedaddy/solar_images&page=all,Solar
