It's a very bad week for me. Got 2 speed tickets. One for riding 98kmh in a 50 zone and the other for 72kmh also in a 50 zone.... with my car. Cops are crazy these days. 72 in a 50 zone is a normal speed. Everybody drive around 70 in a 50 zone. It cost me $420 and got 7 penalty points for both. At 14 points, we lost our driver license for 3 month here. I will need to be very careful for the next 2 years. I'll probably start to do some track days again if I want to have fun with my bikes. They are crazy! |

Can y'all go to Driver's Safety School and get some points taken off? That works here in Georgia. |

Stou, I feel ya Two reckless driving tickets One passing in a no passing zone two speeding tickets(76/50 and 58/40) and just got another speeding ticket(67/45 on a Blast!) as well as a expired tag! I also found out the State rejected my nolo plea so I got points on my DL that I thought I did not have. Oh well, guess I will be spending more time on the dirt and the Track! |

I feel for you Stou. Can you believe that in California they suspended my license because I lost consciousness during an accident (where I was not at fault) that shattered my pelvis and landed me in the hospital for 6 weeks. the girl that hit me (through negligence) got to keep hers. I had to contest the automatic suspension and jump through a bunch of hoops just to get the thing re-instated. All because they didn't differentiate between lost consciousness during an accident, not lost consciousness causing an accident. Anyway, sure move down to the states! |

Stou, Remind me to tell you about the time I was stopped about 100km west of Riviere-du-loup when I was on my way back from the 20th Anniversary. All I can say is that I started to pull away from the QPP unmarked car at 147kph when I noticed his lights. He let me off and told me to keep it around 120kph. |

You was really lucky Bill. But this year in Montreal and suburb, the cops are crazy. My car is a rally blue Subaru WRX with gold wheels. When the cops see me, they turn around to follow me. If it can stop raining over here, I'll ride my XB. It doesn't look like a sport bike and they doesn't care about it. |

Hell I live in ATL and everyone does 80mph everywhere, I still get picked out. I have never in my life gone more than 10 months without a ticket. |

I have had one ticket in 14 years now. And it was in my pinzgauer for violation of right of way making a left at a light in a driving rain storm. Pinzgauers don't have defrosters. I have been wondering how come I have been so lucky for so long. I always speed. |

i got extremely lucky. 4 of us riding. 3 harleys and me. we left a stop sign and everyone gassed it, so me being me i was last in line and thought i needed to make some ground on them. had it on the back tire as i passed my friend that was third in line. he said he was doing 60 when i went by. (in a 35) i had the front in the air for awhile and kept speeding up. when i finally set it down i turned around to see where my friend was at. well he was putting along at the speed limit now because a cop was about 5 foot behind him watching all this. great im so f%^$^& i slow down and keep looking ahead. out of nowhere the cop passes within a foot of the side of my and hes just flying. i figure hes going to cut me off so i dont run or something. nope he keeps on going and catches my 2 other friends at the stoplight. needless to say my other friend and i bailed on the first street available. they got lucky and only got a warning seeing as they were both moving to california the next day. i dont understand why he passed me up though. he could have had a huge list of tickets for me once he got to looking. guess i wont argue to long about not even getting pulled over for my stupidity though, lol. glad my luck didnt run out yet. |

From what I've heard (or read) on the Y2K is that Jay Leno has one... It also stars in the movie 'Torque'. |
