It’s time for some new boots. My old ones are Teknics and they have always sucked. Very uncomfortable !!!!! I would like to know what you would buy, where and how much $$$. So if you guys could give me a little help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!!! |

I am using a pair of Sidi Scorpion Boots. I like they way they fit. They are not the tall race type as I have very large calves (the muscles, not the cows ), and rather short fat feet. I couldn't find a full height set that would fit my legs. I have the same problem with Ski Boots. Anyway that is a round-about way to describe them. I really like them. I have worn them for 250+ miles and for quick things like lunch etc.. They are comfortable, and have nice airflow into them. I got them from Newenough.. |

I had a pair of sidi vertebra 2's. I currently own a pair of vertigos. They rock, and have easily replaceable toe, ankle, and calf sliders. A friend of mine has, and loves his on-roads if you don;t want race style boots. Bottom line I have never regretted investing in sidi boots. |

I too have the Sidi Vertigo Corsa boots in the same colors as above. They are very comfortable. The price is a bit on the high side, and I don't know why adding the top of the foot strap would have to cost $120.00 more then the basic Vertigo boots. I felt that I needed the top strap for comfort and security, so I sucked it up and dropped the cash. From what I've seen, there is no price fluctuation between vendors offering Sidi products. I bought my locally for the same price that I would have paid through mail order. Yes I did have to pay tax, but 5% was worth being able to try them on, and taking them home that day. Motonation is the US distributer of Sidi stuff. Check out their page for local shops. |

I have a pair of these and believe it or not, they're more comfortable than my AGV's. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ALPINESTAR-HI-POINT-BOOTS-SZ-11-AHRMA-CR-YZ-KX-RM -KTM_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6751QQitemZ8066143183QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW |

Mike, I have a pair of the vertebra tepor boots and have been pleased with their performance, had to add heel inserts for a better fit and comfort off the bike. Kinda wish I'd gotten the perf'd boots... -Bug |

Mike, Depending on what you're looking for, the Oxtar Goretex are very nice boots:
My wife got me a pair of these for Christmas. They offer a decent amount of protection, are supposed to be waterproof, and are very comfortable to walk around in. They're not close to a hard core racing boot, but they're great for every day riding. (Message edited by whodom on May 18, 2006) |
