We've got an old tube tester, built into what looks like an old suitcase but it came that way. Got no idea if it works, not sure of the name on it at the moment, but can take pics of it tonight if anyone is interested. I know some of you speak highly of older tube style electronic music gear so figured I'd post it here. Just doing some pre-rummage/garage sale sorting out. Anyway, let me know if anyone's interested in it, and how much you're interested in it , and I'll get to posting pics tonight or tomorrow. |

I'll check with the neighbor - got him hooked on playing guitar and he's picked up a tube amp. Send/post a pic. |

Here's the pics of the tester. I have no idea if it works as I haven't plugged it in. It does have two extra tubes with it, but since I didn't plug it in and I don't remember how these testers work from when I was a kid I didn't want to blow it up or let the smoke out of anything. I'll let you two arm wrestle over it. I have no idea what it's worth so offer up an interesting trade, maybe a couple of new spark plugs for the bike, something interesting from your area, a soda if you're in the area during Homecoming, whatever. Wife said to get rid of it so here it is. I'm about 22-25 miles north of downtown Milwaukee on the way up to RoadAmerica. I can ship it if preferred but not sure how it would hold up to the shipper's handling/throwing it around in their trucks and planes. Let me know how you want to handle the transfer of this, I'm flexible and easy to work with and got no problem storing it for a few weeks. I could even be convinced to meet someone down near Chicago some Saturday to hand it off and make a day trip out of it with the Mrs to get out of town for a day. Mike.

You'd be surprised what we're pulling out of our garage and basement and taking to a rummage sale this weekend.

Spidey, Took 3 or 4 pickup loads of stuff to the rummage sale, some of it made a return trip (occasional difference of opinion of what we're getting rid of and what we're keeping ). Might have an old pirate chest going over tomorrow, not really an old pirate chest but does sort of look like one. A ton of other stuff squirreled away in various nooks and crannies around the house and garage, some of which was left by previous owners. Probably taking the 10'6" canoe over tomorrow as well as a small ancient child's hard rubber tired bicycle. Hmmm, the little bicycle is pink, not hat pink, more like faded dusty pink, but still pink, so maybe I should save it and bungie it to the back of the Buell for the ride up to Appleton next week since I don't/won't have a pink hat. I used to have a small collection of console radios and shortwave stuff and some old early clock radios that I got rid of when I moved from California to here. I'll let you know next time I have a rummage/garage sale. Bomber, I don't sell many of my tools. I may not know where they all are at the moment, but can usually find enough somewhere to take stuff apart and sometimes put it back together again. R_T, um, personal nature items which may or may not exist are donated anonymously late at night on various doorsteps of misceleaneous thrift shops in neighboring counties, the nature of which can never be confirmed nor denied since I was never there nor here since I'm currently downstairs getting a hot cup of water for some tea and someone else is typing this instead. |
