Hey guys, it's time for a new lid and I really like KBC's "Force S" helmet. I was browsing the photos on Bad Web and noticed that some of you had this helmet. How do you like it? My main concern is that I live in Houston and need something suitable for hot / nasty weather. Many thanks! |

I was looking at some of those KBC's as well. Specifically, those military style finished ones. I really like my modular style though and I'm not sure if I can go back to a standard style helmet. The modulars are so much easier too put on, talk to others with, etc... |

I like KBC. I've had a VR-1 and VR-2 and both have been very nice quality. The VR-1 lasted it's full five years until I backed over it with a car... |

I have the Force RR Airborne II Edition, I love it, I am in the AF so everyone is like did you do it yourself? It is important to remember that if you do like the Airborne Editions that they are not glossy, they are more flat, almost no reflection from them. I get plenty of air from the chin vent/forhead vent/ and two top of head vents. Plus the strap has a convienant button for you to hook the loose end of the strap onto so it doesn't smack you neck at speeds. |

Bought one of the KBC Force S helmets for my wife. She really likes it. Plenty of ventilation and nice quiet ride. |

I'm a big KBC fan. I've had 2 VR-1's and a VR-2. Excellent quality & fit as far as I'm concerned. There are some spectacular deals to be had on them. Check out ebay. |

i have the force rr and the assasin helmet ( the first one, blue and black ), i like both of them, they are light and fit really nice, i would not hesitate to get another kbc, plus if you get on line, you can get pretty cheap, around 170 or so i think i have seen. I have quite a few KBC helmets. One Wolf (in black chrome, awesome looking!), one VR-1 and 3 VR-2s. They have such cool graphics on their helmets, and I found great deals on eBay. I like the fit. I wear them every time I ride, even in the hottest Florida weather. Remember, Mat Mladin wears a VR-2. If it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me. |

i picked up a buell helmet on ebay and i believe that (at least that model year) is basically a VR-1. i also have a scorpion exo 400 but on the really hot days i wear the vr-1 because the ventilation is so much better. on the other hand, when its cold (40s) the VR1 is too ventilated even with the ports closed so on those days i wear the scorpion |

I have the Matte Titatium finish on the KBC Force RR and I really like it. I get lots of compliments on its looks too. Good price, also. |

My main concern is that I live in Houston and need something suitable for hot / nasty weather. We live in NC and my husband rides most every day, so the Scorpion helmet was a good choice for him. The liner can be removed. Hand wash and let it air dry when it gets that "helmet funk". |

I used to have a vr-1. I bought it when KBC was pretty new on the market. They did then, and they do now make a GREAT helmet for the money. They are very close to the quality of the top tier helmets. They also pay attention to working vents. I am planning on getting a force-rr in the zombie-dark pattern. |

I have an older KBC VR. It was a good helmet, I don't have too many complaints about it. It certainly saved my nugget when I wrecked last year. The only complaint I have is from the accident; The visor popped off. It's not that any part of it broke, it just popped off. Perhaps it was made to do that? I really don't know. It just made me feel uneasy that I didn't have any protection for my eyes as I was rolling across the pavement. None-the-less it worked as intended and I survived the accident. |

the visors almost always pop off of full face helmets in anything more dramatic than a low side. |

The VR line is also pretty light. |
