Yesterday my wife decided to take out my M2 while I was working some overtime. I was ok with that because one she is my wife but 2nd she has a few miles under her belt and is a MSF graduate. Around 4 o'clock I heard the unmistakable sound of my bike coming around the bend so I decided to step outside and watch her pull in. As she hit the top of the drive way SMACK!!! She pancaked my bike flat against my gravel drive. Luckily she is ok but that big ass ugly bread box saved the day although in the process it sacrificed its self. I'm planning on calling around today about a replacement but if anyone reading has one laying around that they want to get rid of Please let me know. |

Holy crap! I don't even need a breadbox, but at $12 + shippping, I'd buy it just because it's such a great deal. |

I like the bread box just for that reason. No one plans on crashing but in the event you do you will be happy it is there. I did a Battletrax event (Am I allowed to say Battletrax??) and laid the bike down on the right side. The only damage was some scrapes on the bread basket. I just used some sandpaper to smooth it out. |

I'm pretty sure my forcewinder would do a good job of protecting my left side in the event of a laydown. yah Ok |

A Forcewinder is a very poor substitute for a frame slider. I've been there. It provides no give when it contacts the driving surface, scratches and dents easily can hang up on the road while sliding and can rip your carb & intake right off your cylinders. It looks cool, it's functional but the Hemholz is tops when it comes to a right low side incident. |

I'm sure he was being sarcastic. What I was surprised about was how much the CF race filter sticks out. It's even more vulnerable to damage than a Forcewinder. If the breadbox just wasn't so huge, I'd use it - it covers too much of the engine up. It is a great idea, but an aesthetic disaster. It does work very well, though. |
