56,000mi. on my S3 and I've been using Mobile 1 15W-50 in both the engine and primary since it was first broken in. Never have had a clutch problem. If you go to the Knowledge Vault and look at the lubrication thread there are some good links to oil discussions. You will find that there isn't anything special about the Harley oil other than the name on the bottle and the price. |

Been using Mobil 1 15x50 in everything for years, even when Harley was still pushing Dino oil. It's good stuff, don't be afraid to use it. Even use it in the transmission of our Vintage race bike.........Charlie |

I use M1 75-90 gear oil in the primary Been shown to not be friendly to wires, etc. due to sulpher content - mystery burn up of stators - solved - use Mobil 15-50 and be happy. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Been shown to not be friendly to wires, etc. due to sulpher content - mystery burn up of stators - solved Ez, I've seen that suggested here several times but never seen anything to back it up. Any posts to confirm this? |
