We've avoided political (and religious) discussions for some time because strong, opposing views have always been expressed, and they have historically degenerated into name-calling and personal attacks, which have spilled over into other, motorcycle-related threads. This tone of discourse is exactly what the BadWeb is not about.
This thread, in my opinion, is getting close to falling off that very same precipice.
Gentlemen, please retire to neutral corners and come out talking about motorcycles!

can't speak for Court (nor as eloquantly) -- while I, too, find this topic of interest, the posts on this particular thread have slid into the usual suspects declaiming the same opinions over and over, accompanied with carefully sorted research to bolster their opinions . . .
a significant minority of posters HAVE strayed toward tasteless internet hero status -- sad, but true
me, after attempting to raise some alternagte views, I'm with M1 on this point -- nothing's gonna change as a result of this conversation, indeed, it's not a conversation -- it's slogan shouting --
ah well, could be worse --

Smoke: I think you can delete you own posts for an hour or so after the time of the post. Maybe Blake can adjust the software to lengthen that period, you'd have to ask him.

Since I stold this thread, guess no one is interested in my hot dog skewers. <grin> Anyway, here's the ones I'm going to CNC. They look pretty cool if you anodize them first, then put the dimples in with a ball nose.

You won't learn much from me. I'm a total novice with the machining. Everything I do takes forever. It is and has been a huge learning curve for me. Oh, if your name was Bomerett and you were about 40ish, tall and lean (made for racing in other words) then yes, you could come and stay with me for a while. <smile>
