Well, we made it down here last week, the 18th..unloaded the truck, and started the neverending process of unpacking... We dont have internet yet..dont know when that will happen...but, I have it at work... Anyway, its hot down here...gonna have to make an oil cooler before it gets too much hotter... EDIT, BTW, gas, $1427.86 total tally.. Uhaul, $2200 Hotels/motels $128.47 Food about 100 Tolls $45 or so...(only between mass and VA) total trip length, 2186(14 miles LESS than what I paid for, whcih is good that I begged for extra mileage)... Oh yeah, the navy gave my 1300 dollars for the move...subratc that from up there... I ended up taking out a personal loan I cant afford to do this...trying to do my travel claim now(only reazson I have the numbers avail) Anyone wanna bet that I will never see the differnce?? Does the Army have a higher rate for travel reinbursements? I moved my daughter in December and she got most of it back. |

No, I belive its all the same.... I just know the way the system works, and when I moved from here Up to VA 3 years ago, THEY moved me, and I still lost money.. Chase |

I think the Army Might be different. I know growing up with my father in the Army, he ALWAYS would move us. On every occasion he made at least 3-700 dollars more then what it ended up costing him. It was no wonder he always ended up buying some sorta play toy after we got settled. Chase-great to hear that you all made it. Just think it is Going to get hotter! Take stock in water to take with you. |
